Sunday’s round of Copa America concludes Group B. Join us as we preview Ecuador vs. Haiti and Brazil vs. Peru and serve up choice soccer picks for your betting thrills.
Brazil came through as the runaway favourites over Haiti as expected across sports betting exchanges. In fact, they were ruthless in a 7-1 win over Haiti to take top spot and improve their goal difference. Ecuador and Peru, meanwhile, settled on a 2-2 draw on match day 2.
As it is, the section is finely poised with Brazil in top spot but level on four points with Peru. Ecuador nip at their heels in third place with two points and Haiti prop up the section, pointless in two rounds. (See Table 1).

Ecuador vs. Haiti
Ecuador are third in Group B behind an undefeated mark that comprises two draws against the two favourites in the section Brazil and Peru. That’s nothing to scoff at and sends them into the deciding round on a wave of optimism. Indeed, in the last round they came back from two goals down to draw level with Peru.
Of course, they’re further away from the knockouts than the aforementioned favourite – two points adrift. But the top pair is set to collide in the last lap, essentially one could cancel the other out of the tournament, while Ecuador faces an almost certain win against group minnows Haiti. As such, Ecuador can entertain realistic hopes of advancing too.
Predictably, Ecuador are runaway favourites to win in 90 minutes with soccer odds trading anywhere from -600 to -1000. It follows the value is completely lost on betting the win, the return on your investment hardly worth the trouble. Those looking to back Ecuador might fancy a win to nil, which is on offers of -150 or thereabouts depending on your choice sportsbook and is definitely more attractive than betting on the straight up win.
Totals betting also opens the door to additional angles for profit on your soccer picks. Seeing as Brazil shipped a whopping seven goals into Haiti’s net, Ecuador will be looking to do much of the same in order to improve their goal differential in the event of a draw with Peru on points in the table. Over 2.5 goals is decent value at -200 with bet365 while Over 3 goals at -125 is also an attractive option with Bookmaker for your soccer picks.
Brazil vs. Peru
This is the marquee game of Sunday’s soccer betting card. Brazil are in the lead thanks to a better goal differential, but the pair are level on points in the table after two rounds, setting up what should be a thrilling showdown for top spot in group B.
Brazil opened their campaign with a lacklustre draw to Ecuador but bounced back with a 7-1 evisceration of Haiti. Of course, there was never any doubt Brazil would defeat Haiti, who are not only group minnows but entered the competition as the quintessential long shot bet in outrights. It was only a matter of how well they’ll perform. They answered with impunity.
Peru may be level on points with Brazil and undefeated in two rounds of group B, but there have been concerning signs in both accounts. The tepid 1-0 win over Haiti on match day 1 left much to be desired – especially now when we can compare it to the 7-1 evisceration by Brazil. As well, they fritted away a two-goal lead against Peru to settle on a 2-2 draw that could prove costly in the deciding round. Indeed, Peru might rue both accounts.
As such, Brazil are the correct favourites to win in 90 minutes, which is a bet priced at -200 soccer odds. A lot is being made about Brazil sending their B team into this competition, so a good showing against Peru will go a long way to silencing their critics. That said by Peru’s soccer odds you would think they were facing Brazil’s A team. Peru are priced as the whopping +700 underdogs with Bookmaker to win in 90 minutes while the draw is priced at +330 soccer odds.
Peru’s lack of consistency and focus in this competition has cost them severely in both market and public betting estimation. It’s impossible to recommend a bet on Peru at the expense of Brazil. Particularly considering the way they took the foot off the pedal against Ecuador on match day 2 and their complacency against Haiti. Thus, we’re backing Brazil to win at -200, which is available with William Hill on our soccer picks.
