The longest race on the NASCAR schedule will test drivers this weekend at "America's Home for Racing." We break down the Coca-Cola 600 in Charlotte with our top NASCAR picks of the week.

The Daytona 500 may be the biggest race of the year, but this week, NASCAR runs its longest race of the year. Drivers will complete 400 laps around the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Memorial Day classic Coca-Cola 600 this Sunday.

Many race teams consider this their home track given their headquarters are located in the Charlotte area. This includes Hendrick Motorsports whose driver Kyle Larson won last season's race. In fact, all four of the team's cars finished inside the top five that day.

We've seen some chaotic racing so far this season. This week, we should expect another 600 miles of the same. This race starts in the sunlight and ends under the lights so as the track changes, the racing intensifies.

Here are my outright picks for NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway (odds via DraftKings SportsbookBetMGM; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Coca-Cola 600 Odds Analysis

After owning the field in the 2021 Coca-Cola 600, Larson enters this prestigious weekend as the favorite on all of our most trusted books. The best value for betting the favorite is at DraftKings, BetMGM, and WynnBET who have him at +550.

A driver that the books can't seem to agree on is Kyle Busch. He is the co-favorite with Larson at +550 on DraftKings. But, he can be found at +650 on Caesars and as high as +700 on BetMGM.

Who Will Win the Coca-Cola 600?

Larson (+550)

The No. 5 car completely dominated the last running of the Coke 600. Larson's Chevy started on the pole. He proceeded to lead 327 of 400 laps including the last one to win the race. He turned 69 of the fastest laps in the race. His lowest running position all day was eighth. His win in Charlotte kicked off a string of three straight trips to victory lane.

His victory last season came on the heels of a second-place finish. He enters this weekend fresh off of a second-place outing in the last points race in Kansas before the All-Star Race.

Larson did have a strong car in that race for a million dollars. Unfortunately, his chance was cut short when his right front tire gave way, sending him into the wall and out of the race.

Kyle Busch (+700)

So far this season, the younger Busch brother has six top-10 finishes in his last seven races. His outlier came when he was wrecked out at Darlington. In that span, he has a win on the Bristol dirt and two third-place finishes. The last of which came two weeks ago in Kansas.

His No. 18 car has enjoyed similar success in Charlotte. He's been a top-10 car at the finish in six of his last eight races here. Five of those have been top-five outings, including his only win on the track in 2018. Busch started from the pole in that race and led 377 of 400 laps for the win.

Last week, he cut a tire in the All-Star Race which set off a memorable wreck between himself, Ross Chastain, and Chase Elliott. He'll be on the 600-mile road to redemption from his last outing this week.

Kurt Busch (+2000)

Michael Jordan watched his No. 45 car and his historic Jumpman logo take home a checkered flag two weeks ago. The elder Busch brother started fifth at Kansas and fought off Larson and a slew of lap traffic for the win. The win marked the fifth top-10 finish and the third top-five finish of Busch's 2022 season.

It's been a long time since Busch has seen victory lane in Charlotte. His only win was 12 years ago as the driver of the No. 2 Penske Dodge. That said, he hasn't been terrible since that win. Since 2015, Busch has notched eight top-10 finishes in 11 races with two different teams. In 2020, he started on the pole and led 54 laps in the No. 1 car. That day ended with a seventh-place finish.

He has proven that the 23XI team has a fast enough car to hang with the best of them. Look for him to be a contender again this week.
