Barcelona vs. Celtic
The match betting markets on this game are lopsided, to say the least, skewed wholeheartedly towards the Catalan giants as they welcome Scottish champions to Camp Nou. No strangers to each other in this competition, these two storied clubs collided as recently as 2012 and 2013. Predictably, Barcelona has the edge in these recent meetings winning three of four fixtures. However, Celtic have a lone shock win at home, a 2-1 win in the second leg of their tie in 2012 which could provide a small soupcon of hope for the optimistic Celtic fan. Well, that’s as long as they ignore the last visit to Camp Nou where Celtic was eviscerated 6-1. Yikes.

Basel vs. Ludogorets Razgrad
In theory, this is a fixture that might be up for grabs despite odds makers tipping it wholeheartedly towards the hosts – Basel are priced around -140 soccer odds to win in 90 minutes or thereabouts depending on your choice sportsbook. Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad though must fancy their chances in this fixture –when Arsenal and PSG loom as the other opponents in the field this is on paper the most winnable of the lot. Still, it’s going to be a tough ask against Swiss champions Basel, who are off to a flying start in their domestic campaign with all seven fixtures played thus far going OVER 2.5 goals. Indeed, the Swiss have fired 24 goals through seven fixtures. Surprisingly, Over 2.5 goals is trading at decent -105 soccer odds with low juice leaders Heritage.

Free Soccer Picks: Over 2.5 -105

Bayern Munich vs. Rostov
This is another lopsided clash to spot in the first round of UEFA Champions League group betting play this week. Bayern Munich may have a new manager but they are still Bundesliga giants and tough to beat at the Allianz Arena. Rostov might just fancy shipping the W and not bother showing up for what is sure to be a beat down.

Free Soccer Picks:  Bayern to win to nil -162

Benfica vs. Besiktas
A pair of domestic champions clashes in the first round of UEFA Champions League, Benfica and Besiktas. Benfica is regular competitors in Europe’s top-flight club competition and deserved favourites to win straight up at -127 with Pinnacle. However, Turkish champions Besiktas shouldn’t be dismissed out of hand. Just as their hosts are undefeated on the new season with a 3-1-0 record, so too are the Turks behind a 2-1-0 record. Scoring doesn’t appear to be an issue for either side – Benfica have 8 goals through four rounds while Besiktas have nine goals through three rounds. Conceding goals though appear to be an issue for both teams, which makes a bet on both teams to score worth the tickle on your soccer betting picks.

Free Soccer Picks:  Yes, both teams to score at +102

Dynamo Kiev vs. Napoli
Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev and Napoli are set to collide on Tuesday in the Ukrainian capital. In spite of home advantage, the hosts are trading at the disadvantage, anywhere from +220 soccer odds or more. For soccer bettors looking for an upset soccer pick, this might be the match to deliver. We’re not so sure odds makers are giving the Ukrainians their due. Granted Napoli is a stellar side and on paper, arguably, the better team. Plus there’s an advantage to facing Dynamo Kiev in September rather than November when the weather is more unforgiving. However, Dynamo Kiev is a tough nut to crack in this competition – last season they held Chelsea and Porto to draws at home.

Free Soccer Picks:  Double chance bet, Dynamo Kiev to win or draw at -162
Best Line Offered: at Ladbrokes

Man City vs. Borussia M’gladbach
Pep Guardiola will know just about everything Borussia M’gladbach have to offer having faced off against the Bundesliga stalwarts during his tenure with Bayern Munich. He’ll have his lads ready for this clash and nothing short of a win will satisfy the demanding and precise manager. Predictably, Man City are runaway favourites to win at -250 with bet365, which is worth a tickle but not exactly the best bet available in the market. One thing Man City appear to be struggling with in the new season is clean sheets. Inasmuch as they are firing on all cylinders they are also conceding at least one goal per game. That has us looking towards both teams to score as the best soccer pick.

Free Soccer Picks:  Yes, both teams to score -142

PSG vs. Arsenal
Of all the matchups on Tuesday this has to be the marquee clash most soccer bettors will be gagging to watch as it highlights a matchup between two of the best-known clubs in Europe and top two favourites in group A to advance into the knockouts. However, there’s a real danger this matchup might not live up to the hype. Fortunes have turned for the defending Ligue 1 champions. Now without their star talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic (traded to Man United), PSG aren’t doing too hot in domestic competition and are coming off a loss and a draw. They are sat seventh in the table with seven points from four rounds. Similarly, Arsenal is sat sixth in the table with 7 points through four rounds and while they’re coming off back-to-back wins those come at the expense of dubious opposition – Watford and Southampton. Neither side strikes a convincing pose which suggests it might be best to swerve the match win altogether.

Free Soccer Picks:  Under 2.5 +102

PSV vs. Atletico Madrid
The pair met the last term in the knockouts with Atletico Madrid edging the Dutch side on penalties after both legs ended in drab scoreless draws. There’s a danger that this might once again go towards a draw, despite the revenge twist for the hosts. Atletico Madrid, last season’s runners-up in the competition, are a disciplined side and tough to breakdown defensively.
