Arsenal go to Burnley with both desperate for the points, but only one side capable of taking all three according to William Hill's Lee Phelps. Read on to find out why he likes the odds for his free betting pick.

It’s second bottom versus second this weekend in the Premier League, so no shortage of desire for the points in the Burnley vs. Arsenal match. The form lines are as stark as the quality and the prizes both are chasing. Soccer odds makers realize that the Gunners haven’t given up the hope of pouncing on a Chelsea blip, while the Clarets’ eyes are squarely focused on being able to face up to Arsenal twice again next season.

The good news is that Sean Dyche can keep the same starting eleven who ground out a point against Arsenal’s north London neighbors Tottenham last weekend, the bad news is it’s highly unlikely this team will be as insipid as the Spurs were in that match.

Keeping the Gunners out will be a different prospect altogether, they have scored 17 in their seven match winning streak and have scored 10 against Burnley in their last four matches. Add to that the lack of goals from Dyche’s men (they have scored three in their last seven matches, although two came against Chelsea and Manchester United) and it looks doubly daunting for our soccer picks.

Unless something staggering happens, we can rule out the win here. They have won four games at home all season, against QPR, Hull, Southampton and Manchester City, with the last three all by a single goal to nil. You could maybe argue those wins against the Saints and City show the bigger teams may switch off against them and to be fair Arsenal have been guilty of that (my pocket knows that only too well!).

Check out another Premier League Soccer Pick: Man Utd/Man City

Arsene Wenger and his medical staff seem to timing their injury crisis to perfection as well as their form, with Mikael Arteta, Mathieu Debuchy, Aaron Ramsey and Woijcech Szczesny all available, plus late tests for Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, they’re nearing full strength for the trip to Turf Moor.

Whichever way you look at this, complacency is the only thing that can stop Arsenal winning.

Premier League odds makers know that Olivier Giroud has scored 10 goals in his last 10 matches for Arsenal in all competitions and is the first player to score in six consecutive league appearances for the club since Emmanuel Adebayor in 2008.

Burnley will have to be ultra-organized and fully concentrated in every aspect of the defensive game too, because not only are their opponents capable of cutting you to bits in open play, but no side has scored more set piece goals than them in the Premier League either (20).

If you like betting on assists, Mesut Ozil is another man finding his best form again. He has scored or assisted seven goals in his last eight league games (three goals, four assists).

Soccer Picks
I like two combination bets centered on the Arsenal win here. The first is the win and Giroud to score at 3.0 (2/1), the second is an away win and under 2.5 goals, given Burnley’s ability to organize themselves and desire for a point.

Free Soccer Pick: Arsenal win and under 2.5 goals (3.75) 11/4
