At this very early stage of the Bundesliga betting season these teams lie 2nd & 3rd in the table behind Borussia Dortmund. Both Bayern & Leverkusen have won their first two games of the season.

Bayern Munich
Bayern have run away with the Bundesliga for the past three seasons (the last two under Pep Guardiola) and are overwhelming favorites to win it again. In fact such is their expected supremacy that it can be argued that the major focus will be winning the Champions League in Guardiola’s third, and likely final, season with the club

They arguably got even stronger over the summer as they swapped the oft-injured Bastian Schweinsteiger with the excellent Chilean Arturo Vidal, who’s widely regarded as one the best midfielders in the world but has yet to feature this season. Bayern also added Brazilian Douglas Costa to provide more cover on the wings after both Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben suffered injury-ridden seasons last year.
If Bayern finally get the likes of Robben, Ribery, David Alaba and Thiago Alcantara to play a full season, they should retain the title
After some growing pains early in the season, Bayer Leverkusen finished with a flourish in their first year under Roger Schmidt. Leverkusen won nine of their last 12 games to finish a respectable fourth. Schmidt implemented his fast-pace, heavy pressing system, which suited a youthful team.

Bayer Leverkusen
Leverkusen kept hold of in-demand stars Karim Bellarabi (25 years old), Heung-Min Son (23), Hakan Calhanoglu (21), and Lars Bender (26), and will have Christoph Kramer (24) back after his loan spell with Monchengladbach. They also added promising defender and German U19 captain Jonathan Tah over the summer.

This young core group is just entering its prime, and with a full season’s worth of experience playing in Schmidt’s system, Leverkusen could be primed to shock a few people in the upcoming season.

Teams Lineup
Likely starting line ups for this game are as follows, allowing for the introduction of Vidal and with Benatia a doubt after an injury last weekend.

Bayern Munich starting lineup (3-4-3 formation): Neuer; Alaba, Boateng, Benatia; Vidal, Alonso, Götze, Lahm; Costa, Müller, Robben.

Bayer Leverkusen starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Leno; Hilbert, Tah, Ramalho, Wendell; Kramer, Bender; Calhanoglu, Mehmedi, Brandt; Kießling.

Betting Odds

*Bayern Munich -300 Coral
*Bayer Leverkusen +1000 William Hill
*Draw +475 BetVictor

These are clearly cramped Bundesliga odds for the most likely result – a home win. I would tend to regard Leverkusen as a side that can compete with Bayern in single games and keep games close. A solid defence and pressing style with young fit players faithfully playing the tactics of the coach suggests to me that we should be looking at options in Asian Handicaps

Bayer Leverkusen have held Bayern to single goal wins on their last two visits to the Allianz and beat them 2-0 at the back end of last season at home.

Soccer Pick: Bayer Leverkusen -400 on the Asian Handicap (half stake at EVEN, half at -200) is +131.58 with 888Sport and will give us a profit on a single goal Bayern win or better for Leverkusen.
