Bayern Munich have the market cornered for their upcoming clash with Hannover at HDI Arena on Saturday. Do the hosts have any hope of turning the soccer odds in their favor? Find out as we weigh in on this clash and serve up our top soccer picks.

Bayern Munich Recapture Form
A rare dip in form occurred just as Bayern Munich came out of the winter break. Chalk it to the festive season, a comfort in their superiority over the rest of the Bundesliga field, taking their opponents for granted...Whichever way you slice it, the German giants stumbled awfully by their lofty standards. First they lost to Wolfsburg 4-1 (away), which marked their first loss of the season. Then they settled on a 1-1 draw to Schalke 04, only their fourth draw in Germany's top flight to date.

In the natural order of things, such missteps would be par for the course of a season. Missteps are bound to happen here and there in top European leagues where competition is stiff and clubs are battling for top flight bragging rights. The overall perception of Bundesliga is that it's a one horse league, mainly. At best a two-horse league (three would be stretching it). Compared to Premier League, for instance, the league proper isn't as competitive. So when Bayern Munich stumble, it's a big deal.

Since those missteps, Bayern Munich seem to have righted the ship, going undefeated in their subsequent six games in all competitions. Most impressively, they de-pants-ed  Hamburger SV 8-0 and then Padeborn 6-0 in back-to-back games, all while having to contend with an away Champions League clash in between. To break it down, they are 4-1-1 in Bundesliga action and still alive in both DFB Pokal after a 2-1 win over Eintracht Braunschweig and Champions League after a scoreless draw with Shakhtar Donetsk.

On the season, Bayern are 18-4-1 with 58 points, eight points clear of Wolfsburg in second place. Betting on the winners market in Bundesliga is still technically open, but it's hardly a lively race with just two contenders, of which Bayern Munich are apparently divinely ordained to win at -50000. (Wolfsburg at +5000 amount to also rans).

Can Hannover 96 Punch Above Their Weight Class?
Given the current form Bayern boast, Hannover 96 fans have good cause for concern. The league leaders are set to descend on HDI Arena with the verve and swagger of a Goliath; hence, their massive odds of -450 to win outright. Underscoring their favorable odds is a run of form that includes scoring 18 goals in their last three Bundesliga games all while conceding just one  (4-1 win over Cologne at the weekend). Not to mention, midweek's DFB Pokal win adds to their goal tally another two goals.

It's no surprise, the hosts are trading at absurd +1200 on the Bundesliga odds for the home win. To be fair, Hannover 96 are a mid-table team in eleventh place. By virtue of placement in the hierarchy, one might assume they'd be more competitive than the odds would suggest. The reality is, though, the odds say all there is to be said about the gap in quality between Hannover and Bayern Munich. One could go so far as to suggest, even Bayern's run of form underscore's this lack of balance in the league. How often do teams lose 8-0 in top flight leagues across Europe?

Soccer Betting Verdict:
As far as this matchup goes, there is only one expected outcome and that is Bayern Munich to win. At -450, the soccer odds don't promise attractive returns. Bettors will need to sift through various other markets for value soccer picks. Bayern to win both halves at -150 is a reasonable soccer pick. Both teams to score is a good option as well at +100 at Bet365 because Hannover have scored in their last five games (win or lose) and we know Bayern Munich are the equivalent of a firing squad. That said, Bayern's defense is nothing to scoff at, and that could tip the scale towards the No bet at -138 on both teams to score.
