Can Hannover make life difficult for Bayern Muncih after their tricky trip to Russia? Our betting tipster looks at the soccer odds and has found some value free picks.

What a strange seven days in the world of Bayern Munich. They beat Cologne 2-0 last Saturday, stayed over and then flew to Moscow on Sunday. Safely tucked up in bed in their hotel and the fire alarm goes off, so out go the Bayern superstars into the cold Russian night in their pyjamas, dressing gowns and blankets. A couple of days’ training and to the match in a largely empty stadium because of Uefa’s punishment for a display of "a range of racist and right-wing symbols" by CSKA fans during a game against Viktoria Plzen last year.

Reflect on our earliest Bundesliga Futures Odds report for 2014-15.

Bayern Money?
The performance against the Russians was functional at best. Muller’s penalty was all they needed but Manuel Neuer was tested as was the German crossbar as the hosts tried to come back into the game. Arjen Robben called the game “easy” but maybe there was some devilment in there from the Dutchman. It reminded me of a few early Bundesliga performances from the champions. Against Schalke Pep Guardiola’s men purred in the first half, but petered out towards the end and drew that match.

Since those stutters they have been very good domestically, especially at home scoring eight and conceding one goal. They have had 56 shots at the Allianz Arena, 27 on target (nine a match), whilst only allowing their opponents an average of seven attempts a match.

Hannover No Pushover
Hannover started last season terribly away from home, losing 11 of their first 13 matches on the road. In fact they won four drew one and lost 12 during their campaign in 2013/14. There is absolutely nothing to suggest they will win in Munich. However we may be able to find some betting value here. Hannover have only lost two first halves since manager Tayfun Korkut came to the club in January and have drawn all three of their opening 45 minutes this season without conceding a goal. Obviously Bayern Munich are a different proposition but they even managed to keep the mighty Bayern out until the 51st minute last September before finally losing 2-0.

Soccer Picks
Given Bayern Munich’s performance last week, they could be forgiven for not being at their very best, but I do still expect them to get the job done. There are a few picks I like. The draw after 30 minutes is the safest option at 6/5. For the half-time draw you can get 12/5 and my favourite soccer pick: half time draw full time Bayern is 19/5. If you agree with the idea but don’t want to be limited to the half time draw, a win and under 2.5 match goals is 3/1.
