The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are aiming for their third title in a span of four consecutive championship appearances. Ending the regular season atop the West Division with an impressive 14-4 record, they secured their spot in the final game by triumphing over the B.C. Lions in the playoffs. Winnipeg showcased its dominance by securing victories against the Montreal Alouettes in both regular-season encounters.

On the other side, Montreal is basking in its first Grey Cup appearance in over a decade, eager to break the drought this weekend. Finishing second in the East Division with an 11-7 record during the regular season, the Alouettes fought their way through the playoffs, holding off the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and staging an upset against the Toronto Argonauts to earn a shot at the championship.
