Leading up to the Fourth of July holiday Wednesday is continuing action in the World Cup; opening action at Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam event of the tennis season; and a full slate of MLB games. 

<p>The Round of 16 in the 2018 World Cup began Saturday and continues Monday with a huge match between Brazil as a -400 favorite over upstart Mexico as a +300 underdog at 10 a.m. ET. The total for that match has been set at 1.5 . On Saturday at 2 p.m., host country Russia is listed as a +145 underdog in its next match against Croatia as a -165 favorite. The total in this contest has been set at two. The Phillies start the week three games behind Atlanta for first place in the NL East with a 3-1 series win against the third-place Washington Nationals over the weekend.</p><p>At 7 p.m. from Great American Ballpark, the Cincinnati Reds play host to the Chicago White Sox in an interleague matchup. The Reds are buried in the basement of the NL Central at 36-48 heading into Monday’s series opener, but they have now won 10 of their last 13 games.</p><p>The final featured MLB matchup on ESPN this Fourth of July is Game 3 of an NL clash between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks in a late 10 p.m. start at Chase Field.
