Buoyed by their Champions League shutout over Bayern Munich, Arsenal look ahead to weekend Premier League action with Everton at the Emirates. Here’s our preview complete with soccer picks.

Arsenal Look To Close Gap on Man City
Arsenal are coming off a stupendous win over Bayern Munich in Champions League, which was a much needed morale boost and revives Arsenal’s European campaign. Indeed, the Gunners went into that game knowing it was a must-win if they hoped to have a shot at the knockout stages. They were bottom of Group F after stunning losses to Dinamo Zagreb (away) and Olympiakos (home) and destined for the European exit door prematurely according to ominous prognosticators.

Those were the “easier” matchups of the section, which only compounded their precarious plight further and made the task all the more difficult in Wednesday’s clash with Bayern Munich. Yet, with their backs against the wall so they delivered, not least at the expense of the group’s runaway favorites Bayern Munich as Petr Cech and the Gunners shutout Pep Guardiola’s prized soccer baubles in a 2-0 win at the Emirates.

Now, they look ahead to the weekend and a visit from Everton to the Emirates, marking round 10 of  the Premier League season. Arsenal are sat second in the table, two points adrift of league-leading Manchester City. Overall, they boast a 6-1-2 mark on the season and 19 points, which includes a 2-1-1 mark at home, highlighted by a 3-0 victory over Manchester United at the Emirates – their last league game at home.

Including the win over Man U, Arsenal have won three straight fixtures across all competitions, five of their last six overall. At home, they are undefeated in their last three games with a scoreless draw to Liverpool and a 2-0 win over Stoke City before shutting out the Red Devils. The only blight on their home form is a 2-0 loss to West Ham United in their home opener this season.

Predictably, Arsenal are the firm home favorites to win outright on the soccer odds board at -225 soccer odds, as well the popular soccer pick.

Everton Look To Bounce Back
Everton are coming off a disappointing 3-0 loss to Manchester United at Goodison Park in the last lap around the league. It marked the first setback to Man United in domestic action since 2011 and second straight setback at home which followed after a 1-1 draw to the Reds in the Liverpool derby.

Overall, Everton are sat ninth in the table with a 3-4-2 mark and 13 points. Home form has been patchy at best as they are just 1-2-2 in their last five home fixtures – though some allowances must be made for the quality of opposition. Both losses came to the Manchester tandem. Somewhat surprisingly, during that run of form, they managed to defeat Chelsea 3-1 at Goodison Park but draw to Watford and Liverpool.

On the road, they are undefeated with a 2-2-0 mark and 8 points. The wins include a 3-0 win over Southampton and a 3-2 win over West Brom. They were held to scoreless draws by Tottenham and Swansea City.

Soccer Betting Verdict
Everton’s road form, which is conspicuously without a defeat, lends their soccer odds some appeal, they are matched as the whopping +700 road underdogs. That would be a nice soccer pick if it came through. Easier said than done, though. Given current home form Arsenal are justifiably the favorites to win outright at -225 soccer odds across sports betting platforms, and they are our recommended soccer pick to win what should be a very entertaining encounter.
