Potapova continues a Wimbledon dream run. After winning the 2016 girls’ single championships, the 16-year-old became the youngest player in the 2017 Wimbledon main draw after three outstanding victories in the qualifying. Despite her young age, Potapova is already one of the most promising young players on the WTA Tour. Taking a look now at her campaign in this event, the Russian teenager proved too strong for Elizaveta Kulichkova in the previous match. Besides not dropping a single set, Potapova ended the match with 22 winners and only 11 unforced errors.

Playing on grass brings the best out of Maria with the 29-year-old German winning 67.35% of the matches on this surface while her overall record on other surfaces is only 57.28%. Known as one of the trickiest players on the WTA Tour, Maria’s backhand slice is a great weapon on this low bouncing surface. She is also going through a very good moment in her career after winning the Southsea ITF last week with a 6-2, 6-2 win in the final over Irina-Camelia Begu.

Despite Potapova’s lack of experience at this level, the junior world No. 1 is a phenomenal player on this surface. Adding to this, Anastasia already won three matches in the qualifying, which is always an advantage in the opening round. Having said that, our advice is for you to take advantage of Potapova’s tennis betting odds by placing a bet on the Russian teenager to book a place in the following round.

Free Tennis Pick: Potapova ML (+125)Best Line Offered: Pinnacle Monica Puig Vs. Timea Bacsinszky (19)

Known as a big match player, Bacsinszky holds a 26-10 record in Grand Slam events since 2015. The 28-year-old Swiss is looking for another successful campaign in a major after reaching the semifinals in Roland Garros. Even though grass is far from Timea’s favorite surface, the world No. 20 reached the quarterfinals in 2015 and the third round last year at Wimbledon. Despite Bacsinszky’s recent defeat against Shuai Peng in the opening round in Eastbourne, she is a completely different player on the big stages.

Puig continues to pursue her first title since her brilliant campaign at the Rio Olympics 2016. Despite her undeniable quality, Puig is also known as one of the most inconsistent players on the WTA Tour. Adding to this, the 23-year-old didn’t play any tournament since her defeat against Jelena Ostapenko in the 2nd round of Roland Garros. Looking now at Monica’s prior appearences at the All England Club, Puig is trying to book a place in the 2nd round for the first time since 2013.

This should be a very interesting contest between Monica’s firepower and Bacsinszky's extraordinary defense. Due to Puig’s lack of success in recent weeks and Timea’s results in Grand Slam events, our suggestion is for you to add Bacsinszky’s spread to your betting picks as the best play for this contest.

Free Tennis Pick: Bacsinszky -3.5 (-111)Best Line Offered: Bet365
