As usual, we’ll start our analysis with the Premier League after the FA Cup action last weekend.

Hull vs Burnley

Two newly promoted teams will face each other this Saturday at Kingston Communications Stadium. Burney is currently in better position due to their brilliant record at home. Liverpool, Chelsea, Leicester and Everton are some of the teams that were unable to leave Turf Moor with the victory. However, their record on the road is absolutely terrible with 1 draw and 10 defeats.

Hull is a completely different team since the winter market. Apart from signing some important players, Hull also hired a new coach - Marco Silva - who is doing an amazing job so far. This is a crucial game for the Tigers and a victory here might allow them to leave the relegation zone for the first time in months. Due to their recent results and Burnley’s winless record on the road, we’ll take Hull’s spread on this game.

Leicester vs Liverpool

Leicester is going through a crisis this season in Premier League. The champions are currently in the 17th place and fighting to avoid relegation. Despite their poor results in the EPL, Leicester is doing a great job on their UEFA Champions League debut. The Foxes lost in the round of 16 first leg by 1-2 in Sevilla, a result that still allows them to turn things around at home. With the team still involved in the UCL, it won’t be easy for Ranieri to motivate his players to this game.

Liverpool reduced the distance to the 2nd placed with a victory at home against Tottenham. The team is finally returning to their good level after a disastrous start of 2017 and this is a great opportunity for them to extend their winning streak. Therefore, Liverpool is the team to take on this game.

 La Liga

Real Madrid travels to El Madrigal in the best game of the weekend in La Liga.

Villareal vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid featured a great comeback against Napoli in the UEFA Champions League, which allows them to focus in La Liga since they are in a very comfortable position to reach the quarterfinals. However, Real Madrid failed to increase their advantage to Barcelona with a disappointing defeat against Valencia. Even though Real still has a one point lead over their rivals and one less game, they can’t afford to lose any more points.

Playing at El Madrigal is never easy with Villareal losing only two games at home this year in La Liga. Despite their good record at home on the domestic league, Villareal suffered a heavy 0-4 defeat on their own turf against Roma in the Europa League round of 16. Even though Real Madrid possess a tremendous offensive line, it’s never easy to score goals in El Madrigal. When analyzing Villareal’s games this season, 70% of those ended with two or less goals.

Real Madrid scored in all their previous 10 games away from Santiago Barnabéu with 2.60 goals in average. Although this is never an easy trip, the current lines present good value for Real Madrid’s victory, which makes it the best play for this game.
