The Spanish La Liga season will kick-off next week but till that time The Spanish Super Cup sees the Blaugrana and Los Blancos face each-other across two-legs for the 1st trophy of the 2017/18 season.

Neymar’s soap opera ended last week with the transfer from Barcelona to PSG for a record fee of €222m. With the transfer window closing on August 31, Barcelona are trying to find the best replacement for the Brazilian star and as it seems they are trying to sign Liverpool’s main player and attacking midfielder Philippe Coutinho and Dortmund’s youngster Ousmane Dembélé. On the other side, the rumors are saying that Real Madrid are preparing to sing Monaco’s rising star Kylian Mbappe and sell one of Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale.

Los Blancos were crowned kings of European after winning the Super Cup 2-1 against Manchester United. Believe it or not, Cristiano Ronaldo was left on the bench after returning to training just few days ago after a long well deserved vacation. A match versus Messi is the perfect opportunity for CR7 to return on the pitch so he is expected to be 100% fit for El Clasico Super Cup. Real Madrid haven't had a good pre-season, losing all their three International Champions Cup fixtures to Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona. They will enter this double leg full of confidence and determined to win a second trophy in ten days.

Barcelona will try to start the 2017/18 campaign on the right foot by winning against their biggest rivals. Their new manager Ernesto Valverde is a tactical genius but he is not expected to change Barcelona’s gameplay. Despite not managing such a big club till now, the fans have big expectations from Ernesto. Barcelona should reclaim their top spot in the Spanish La Liga but also win the Champions League next season. Barcelona haven't lost a game since the 3-0 defeat to Juventus in April. They won last season's Super Cup 5-0 on aggregate against Sevilla and they should probably win the 1st leg as they are playing on their turf.

Barcelona are priced at -105 with Pinnacle to win the 1st leg with Los Blancos being priced at +250 with Bet365. El Clasico is a massive occasion for the players to show their best skills against their biggest rivals so we expect a thrilling encounter with goals from both sides but with Barcelona winning the match. Best pick for the match: Over 1.5 goals in the 2nd half at +105 with Coral.
