Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the ATP & WTA Rome Quarterfinals. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Novak Djokovic (1) vs Rafael Nadal (5)
After a surprising first set where Novak Djokovic was bageled by Thomaz Bellucci, the Serbian raised his level to turn the match around. Despite that terrible first set where Djokovic only made 3 winners and 16 unforced errors, it was good to see his determination to win the match and book a place in the quarterfinals. The Serbian is now with 12 consecutive victories in Rome and is also closer from winning his fourth ATP Masters 1000 trophy of the season.

Rafael Nadal also had to work very hard on his third round match against Nick Kyrgios, recovering from a set down to emerge victorious by 6 – 7 6 – 2 6 – 4. Nadal served at very good level, with 85% first serve in and dropping his serve only one time throughout the entire match. As usual, Nadal’s forehand was the key to his success with the Spaniard achieving 87.5% of his winners with the forehand.

This is one of the biggest rivalries ever in tennis history with 48 previous meetings between them. Although the balance on h2h with Djokovic leading by 25 – 23, the Serbian won 10 of the last 11 matches between them, with Nadal not winning a single set in the previous six meetings.

We should witness a high quality match between two legends of the sport but as it happened in recent meetings, it should be Djokovic to claim the victory. Novak loves this matches and always finds a way to raise the level while Nadal has struggled with some problems on his wrist lately. Having said that, our recommendation on this match is for you to take advantage of Djokovic’s tennis odds by placing a bet on his set handicap.

Serena Williams (1) vs Svetlana Kuznetsova (9)
We picked Serena Williams as our main favorite for the title and not only is the American already in the quarterfinals, but also the other main contenders – Victoria Azarenka, Angelique Kerber and Simona Halep – are already out of the event. Serena reaches this stage of the competition after a victory over her fellow countrywoman Christina McHale. It was far from an easy start for Serena yet, the world no.1 raised her level when it matter to emerge victorious by 7 – 6 6 – 1.

The two-time WTA Rome runner-up, Svetlana Kuznetsova, reaches the quarterfinals of this event for the first time since 2009. Even though Svetlana’s ability to play well on every surface, clay is her favorite with the Russian winning 70.59% of the matches she played throughout her career on this surface, while her overall winning record is 66.67%. It has been a very good week for Kuznetsova so far, defeating three top 50 opponents – Caroline Garcia, Samantha Stosur and Daria Gavrilova.

These two players know each other well, with Serena winning 8 of their previous 11 encounters; however, it was Kuznetsova who claimed the victory earlier this year in Miami by 6 – 7 6 – 1 6 – 2.

This is a very interesting match-up with Serena’s firepower against Kuznetsova’s outstanding defensive skills. It’s never easy to defeat such a fearful competitor as Kuznetsova yet, Williams will be looking to revenge the loss in Miami. Adding to this, Serena is still trying to win her first title in 2016 and she knows that this week is a huge opportunity for her. With this in mind, our suggestion for this match is for you to add the American’s spread to your tennis picks
