Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the ATP & WTA Miami Day 6. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Marin Cilic (11) vs, Gilles Simon (18)
After a good run in Indian Wells, where Marin Cilic reached the quarterfinals, the 2014 US Open champion started his campaign in Miami with a triumph over Dusan Lajovic. Despite winning the match in straight sets against Lajovic, Cilic keeps struggling to perform at a consistent level, ending the match with 15 winners / 23 unforced errors. Adding to this, Marin keeps playing with his right knee heavily strapped, after receiving several medical timeouts on that knee in Indian Wells.

The two-time Miami Open quarterfinalist, Gilles Simon, began his journey in Florida with a good victory against a tough opponent like Juan Monaco. Even though Simon only placed 44% first serve, his first serve numbers were impressive with 95% points won against a great returner. Gilles loves the slower conditions in Miami, which suits his defensive ability and tremendous counter punching skills.

This will be the 6th career meeting between these two players, with Simon leading on h2h by 4 – 1. Cilic’s single victory occurred in the US Open 2014, when he was playing the best tennis of his career, yet he still needed five sets to overcome the French.

The match-up on this match is quite interesting and clearly favors Simon. Cilic struggles to find a way to overcome this opponent on baseline rallies and the slower conditions in Miami won’t help him to get many free points on serve. All the previous five matches were incredibly tough, with all of them solved in the decisive set – including three matches played on Grand Slam events. Due to the match-up and the game conditions in Key Biscayne Island, we believe there is value on Simon’s tennis odds and recommend you to place a wager on the French for this match.

Madison Keys (22) vs. Roberta Vinci (9)
Madison Keys made her return to competition last week in Indian Wells, after several weeks away from tour due to a leg injury. It was far from the desired comeback, with Keys suffering an early loss against her fellow countrywoman Nicole Gibbs. Madison returned to victories this week in Miami, defeating on her debut the Belgian, Kirsten Flipkens, by 6 – 4 6 – 2. It was a very solid match from the American, winning 73.68% of the points played on her serve and saving al the four break points she faced.

After retiring from Indian Wells due to an Achilles injury, Roberta Vinci started her campaign in Miami with a very difficult victory against Lucie Hradecka. The Italian had to recover from a set down, emerging victorious only on a third set tie break. This was Roberta’s first victory in Miami since 2013, when she achieved her best career result on this event and reached the quarterfinals.

These two players will face each other for the third time on their career, with Vinci leading on h2h by 2 – 0. Both victories occurred in the United States, with Roberta winning the two in straight sets.

Vinci is one of the trickiest players on tour, with her backhand slice and outstanding skills at the net. Madison loves to hit the ball very strong, but the slice from Roberta’s backhand with low bounce won’t allow Keys to hit the ball as she likes to. This is a terrible match-up for Keys and she might get frustrated against this opponent. Vinci loves the big stages, as she showed in last year’s US Open, and this is a good match for the Italian to claim a big win. With this in mind, we suggest adding Vinci to your tennis picks for this match.
