Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the ATP & WTA Madrid Day 6. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Tomas Berdych (8) vs. David Ferrer (9)
David Ferrer returned to competition this week, after missing the Monte Carlo Masters and the ATP Barcelona due to a soleus injury, a muscle in the lower leg. It hasn’t been an easy return for Ferrer, on the first round he had to recover from a set down against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez while on the 2nd round, a third set was also required on his contest against Denis Kudla. David was far from consistent on his last match against Kudla, ending that contest with 29 winners / 36 unforced errors and converting only 3/11 break points.

This ATP Madrid is probably Tomas Berdych’s favorite tournament on clay, with the fast altitude conditions suiting his powerful tennis. Tomas best result on this event was achieved in 2012 when he reached the final but since 2011, the Czech always reached at least the quarterfinals. After a disappointing early loss in Monte Carlo against Damir Dzumhur, Berdych started his campaign in Madrid with an overwhelming triumph over Denis Istomin, ending that match with 22 winners and just 4 unforced errors.

This will be the 14th career meeting between these two players, with Ferrer leading on h2h by 8 – 5.

Even though these players faced each other several times in recent years, their last meeting on clay took place in 2007. This is a very interesting match-up, with Berdych trying to overpower one of the greatest defenders in the game. When these two meet is all about momentum, whoever is in better shape usually emerge victorious. Things shouldn’t be different this time and on this fast conditions, Berdych has a great opportunity to defeat the home player. Having said that, our suggestion for this match is for you to take advantage of the Czech’s tennis odds by placing a bet on him to win.

Dominika Cibulkova vs. Sorana Cirstea (WC)
Sorana Cirstea received a wild card to play this event and it proved to be a winning bet by the organization, with the Romanian already in the quarterfinals. The last months haven’t been easy for Cirstea due to a shoulder injury, but Sorana is now healthy and returning to her best level. Cirstea reaches this stage of the competition without dropping a single set, defeating three top 50 players – Jelena Jankovic, Danka Kovinic and Laura Siegemund.

Dominika Cibulkova is also trying to return to her best level after a leg injury in 2015. Dominika is able to produce an outstanding level of tennis with amazing groundstrokes, especially the forehand. For the second time on her career, Cibulkova reaches the WTA Madrid quarterfinals. It has been an incredibly tough week for the Slovakian, with a third set being required to solve all her three matches this week against Agnieszka Radwanska, Caroline Garcia and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

These two players will face each other for the 5th time on their careers, with Cibulkova leading on h2h by 3 – 1.

It has been a very different week for both players as we mentioned, Cirstea won all her matches in straight sets while Cibulkova had to make several recoveries, especially on the 2nd round against Garcia – where Dominika recovered from 0 – 6 0 – 3 down. Even though Cibulkova’s lead on h2h, Cirstea has weapons to bother her opponent and this should be a very close battle. With this in mind, our advice for this match is for you to add the Over to your tennis picks.
