Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the ATP & WTA Indian Wells Day 3. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Ernest Gulbis vs. Guillermo Garcia-Lopez
The year of 2015 was far from good for Ernest Gulbis, with the Latvian ending the season with an 11 – 25 record. Despite having also a slow start in 2016 – losing 3 out of 4 matches played on Australian soil – Gulbis raised his level on Indoor events in Europe, losing only against higher ranked players as Richard Gasquet and Gael Monfils. This has always been a good tournament for Gulbis, with the world no.71 losing only once at the first round in eight previous appearances. Ernest’s best result was achieved in 2014, when he reached the quarterfinals, and this week he has 45 points to defend after last year’s loss on the third round against Adrian Mannarino.

Despite having clay as his favorite surface, Guillermo Garcia-Lopez can adjust easily to every surface with his baseline aggressive tennis. It hasn’t been the best start of season for Garcia-Lopez, with the Spaniard’s victories in 2016 all achieved against players outside top 90. Guillermo likes to control the points with his forehand while his one-handed backhand is not so reliable, especially on higher bounce conditions like the ones in Indian Wells. The Spaniard had a poor performance on this event last year, losing on his debut against Thanasi Kokkinakis.

This will be the fourth career meeting between these two players, with Gulbis leading by 2 – 1 on h2h.

We should witness a very interesting contest between two high quality players. Guillermo will be looking to control the points with his forehand while Gulbis will try to explore the Spaniard’s weaker backhand with his solid two-handed backhand. Ernest is able to produce a higher level of tennis and after the level he presented lately, we believe he can take the win on this contest. With this in mind, we advise adding the Latvian to your tennis picks as the best play for this match.

Agnieszka Radwanska (3) vs. Dominika Cibulkova
As we mentioned in our tournament analysis, Agnieszka Radwanska was far from her best on her last tournament at Doha. The Polish retired from Dubai due to a leg injury and she didn’t seem to be fully recovered in Doha, making much more errors than usual. Agnieszka’s best result on this event was obtained in 2014, when she reached the final, and she’ll be looking for a better performance after last year’s third round loss against Heather Watson.

After struggling with an Achilles injury that required a surgery last year, Dominika Cibulkova is slowly returning to her best. The Slovakian had a great week in Acapulco last month, reaching the final where she lost on a third set tiebreak against Sloane Stephens. Dominika is a remarkable ball striker and in a good day, she’s able to overplay almost every player on tour. The former world no. 10 had a superb start of competition, crushing the qualifier Katerina Siniakova by 6 – 2 6 – 0.

This two players know each other very well with Agnieszka leading on h2h by 6 – 3; however, Dominika won two of the last three meetings between them.

Radwnska is known for her tremendous talent and ability to change the pace of the game, but also for her problems when facing players with higher firepower, like Cibulkova. The Slovakian has the advantage of having already played on this event while this will be Radwanska’s debut and for that reason, we believe that Dominika might give a better fight than her tennis odds suggest. Having said that, we suggest exploring Cibulkova’s tennis odds value by placing a wager on her set handicap.
