Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the ATP Wimbledon. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Jiri Vesely vs. João Sousa (31)
João Sousa is for the 4th time in his career in the 3rd round of a Grand Slam event, the first time in Wimbledon. After a very tough first round match against Dmitry Tursunov, with Sousa recovering from a breakdown on the 5th set, the Portuguese performed at a much better level against Dennis Novikov, dismissing the American by 6 – 4 6 – 4 3 – 6 6 – 4. Looking at João’s numbers in his previous round, the world no.31 ended the match with 40 winners / 21 unforced errors and losing only 22% of the points played on his serve.

With one of his best career victories, Jiri Vesely booked a place in Wimbledon’s third round for the second time in his career. Despite being priced as heavy underdog around +600, Vesely surprised the 8th seed, Dominic Thiem, with a 7 – 6 7 – 6 7 – 6 triumph. It was a very solid performance from Vesely however, it’s important to mention that Thiem was far from his best with too many unforced errors.

These two players will face each other for the first time in their careers, with both looking for their first 4th round appearance at a Grand Slam event.

It’s always difficult to play after beating a top player and Vesely is going to experience that situation on this match. Sousa is one of the toughest competitors in the game and he won’t give many free points to the Czech like Thiem did with many unforced errors. Jiri is clearly overrated for this contest, which provides some value to playing the opposite side in this match. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to add Sousa’s spread to your tennis picks, in a match where the Portuguese shouldn’t go down easily.

John Isner (18) vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (12)
After being forced to retire from his French Open third-round match due to injury, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is looking to recover some points on this event. Tsonga has a tremendous record in this event with 27 victories and only 8 losses, with his best result achieved in 2011 and 2012 when he reached the semifinals. The French started his campaign in Wimbledon with two solid victories over Inigo Cervantes and Juan Monaco, both in straight sets.

Even though grass is the fastest surface among all, the truth is that John Isner is far from an expert on this surface. This is John’s eight career appearance on this event, with the American never reaching the 4th round, something that he already did in all the other three Grand Slam events. Isner prefers to compete on higher bouncing conditions, which gives him time to hit the runaround forehand however, he can never be underestimated on this surface where his powerful serve is always a huge weapon. Looking at John’s previous matches on this event against Marcos Baghdatis and Matthew Barton, the American fired a total of 76 aces – an average of 2.17 aces per service game.

This will be their 4th career meeting with Isner leading on h2h by 3 – 1 yet, this will be their first encounter on a Grand Slam event.

It’s never easy to go against Isner due to the quality of his serve but this time, he will also face a tremendous server. Tsonga loves to play on grass and if this goes to distance, the French should have the edge. Having said that, we recommend you to take advantage of Tsonga’s tennis odds by placing a bet on him.
