Join us while we analyze the betting odds of the two top Suisse players who are the favorite for their quarterfinals contests and might face each other in the next stage.

Stan Wawrinka (5) vs. Kevin Anderson (14) Preview:
Stan Wawrinka lost his first set in previous round against Donald Young but after that raise his level to take the win in four sets. Wawrinka reaches quarterfinals for third straight year and since US Open 2013 only once he didn’t reach this stage on a Grand Slam event. The Suisse has been able to perform at his best level on this big stages and this year has been impressive how he can win games without many problems but not playing his best tennis.

Kevin Anderson got the biggest win of his career against Andy Murray to reach his first Grand Slam quarter-final. The South-African fired 81 winners and took advantage of Andy’s passive game to overpower the British from the baseline with outstanding groundstrokes. Was indeed a massive performance from Anderson, however it was a very demanding match with over 4 hours on court and after such a tough contest is very common for this lower level players to drop the level in the following match.

Anderson won the last four meetings between the two players but this will be the first they play on a major where Stan clearly produces his best tennis. The Tennis Odds on Wawrinka are too high, from the baseline he has the game to create problems to Anderson and won’t leave short easy balls like Murray did. Stan has been saving his best tennis for the later stages and this will be his first real test where he should take his game to a higher level which will be just too much for Kevin Anderson.

Free Tennis Pick: Stan Wawrinka -2.5 at 2.02

Richard Gasquet (12) vs. Roger Federer (2) Preview:
Roger Federer managed to break John Isner serve in last round to defeat the American 7 – 6 7 – 6 7 – 5. Roger keeps playing a superb tennis ending the match against Isner with 55 winners and 16 unforced errors and in this event Philipp Kohslchreiber was the only player who was able to break his serve but no player was still able to steal a set to Federer. The most impressive on Roger tennis is how quick he has been able to turn defense into offense.

Richard Gasquet is for the second time in quarterfinals of US Open after reaching semifinals in 2013. Despite playing at a better level against Tomas Berdych in previous round, the French keeps playing too passive and giving his opponents many chances to take control of the rallies putting himself in a very vulnerable position.

Gasquet has always many problems against Federer and last year on Davis Cup final the Suisse just destroyed Gasquet 6 – 4 6 – 2 6 – 2 in a match where Roger was struggling with some back problems. There isn’t much the French can do on this contest, his solid baseline game doesn’t create any problems to Federer and he needs to be more aggressive than usual otherwise he should be overplayed by Roger’s superior groundstrokes and our advice on this Tennis Pick is to take Federer’s spread line that he should be able to cover with an easy straight sets victory.

Free Tennis Pick: Roger Federer -7.5 at Pinnacle
