Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the Shanghai Rolex Masters Quarter-Finals. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Roberto Bautista Agut (15) vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (9)

Known as one of the most powerful player on the ATP World Tour, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga loves to compete on Shanghai’s fast conditions. After an extraordinary victory in the previous round against Alexander Zverev, the 2015 Shanghai Rolex Masters runner-up reaches this event’s quarterfinals for the fifth time in his career. Looking now to Tsonga’s numbers against Zverev, the highlight clearly goes to his performance at the net, with the French winning 22 out of 31 points.

After his 3rd round triumph against Viktor Troicki, Roberto Bautista Agut secured a place in a Masters 1000 quarterfinals for the 2nd time on his career. Despite his superb performance in the previous round against Rafael Nadal, Troicki couldn’t find an answer against Bautista Agut’s consistency, with the Spaniard ending the match with 15 winners and only 9 unforced errors. Even though Roberto is far from a big server, the world no.19 reaches this stage of the competition with remarkable numbers on serve – 96.0% service games won.

This will be the 5th career meeting between these two players with both players winning two matches so far. After two triumphs from Tsonga in 2015, Agut emerged victorious earlier this year in Auckland and Miami. Despite Roberto’s recent victories, Tsonga is an extremely dangerous player on this event. Due to Tsonga’s remarkable record on this event, our suggestion is for you to place a bet on the French’s betting odds as the highest value play for this contest.

David Goffin (11) vs. Andy Murray (2)

As we mentioned in our Shanghai Rolex Masters tournament analysis, Andy Murray is the undeniable favorite to reach the final on the bottom half of the draw. After a tremendous performance in the China Open, Murray extended his winning streak to Shanghai, dismissing Steve Johnson and Lucas Pouille in two easy sets. Besides not losing a single service game so far, Andy also won 43.75% of the games played on his opponents’ serve.

Despite his disappointing first round loss in Shenzhen, David Goffin is having a terrific Asian swing. After reaching the ATP 500 Tokyo final, the Belgian is already in the ATP Masters 1000 Shanghai quarterfinals for the first time in his career. Goffin’s recent victories clearly raised his confidence with the world no.12 reaching this stage of the competition after two outstanding comebacks against Juan Martin Del Potro and Gael Monfils. Besides those two triumphs, David also defeated Benoit Paire in the 2nd round by 6 – 1 7 – 6.

These two players will face each other for the 5th time on their careers with Goffin still trying to win a set against the British. Despite David’s recent performances, Murray seems to be a terrible match-up for him. With Andy playing at such a high level we can only expect another victory against this opponent. Due to the lack of value on Murray’s moneyline, our recommendation is for you to add his spread to your betting picks.
