Join us on our coverage of the ATP Houston & WTA Charleston. Find out our top tennis picks for the semifinals that take place this Saturday and why should you place these valuable tennis bets.

Feliciano Lopez (3) vs. Juan Monaco
The 2012 ATP Houston champion, Juan Monaco, reaches his first ATP semifinals since February 2015 in Buenos Aires. We picked Monaco as the player to keep an eye on this event and the Argentinean matched the expectations. After a tough first round victory over Gerald Melzer, Monaco defeated two seeded players in straight sets – Benoit Paire and Sam Querrey. Juan is currently ranked as world no. 148 and he knows that this week is a great opportunity for him to grab important 250 points.

We mentioned in our tournament analysis that Feliciano Lopez is known for his awful performances on ATP 250 events however, Feliciano had an extremely easy draw so far, defeating Lukas Lacko and Tim Smyczek. Despite Lopez’s poor record on this kind of events, he’s a very dangerous player when he reaches the final stages, winning six of the eight semifinals he played since 2013 on ATP 250. Even though Lopez only fired an average of 0.11 aces per service game on this event, he won 94.7% of the service games he played.

This will be the 8th career meeting between these two players, with Lopez leading on h2h by 5 – 2.

We believe this is time to leave ‘Monaco train’ after three profitable rounds. The Argentinean has been far from solid on his serve, facing an average of 0.50 break points per game and even though he saved 77.8% of those, Lopez is a very strong player under pressure. Feliciano won the previous three matches between them, with Monaco’s last victory occurring in 2009. With this in mind, we advise you to take advantage of Lopez tennis odds by placing a bet on the Spaniard to win this contest and book a place at the final.

Angelique Kerber (1) vs. Sloane Stephens (7)
As we predicted in our tournament preview, Angelique Kerber and Sloane Stephens face each other on WTA Charleston semifinals.

After a tremendous battle on her debut, where Kerber needed a third set tie break to defeat Lara Arruabarrena, the German won the following two matches against Kristina Kucova and Irina-Camelia Begu by the same result, 6 – 2 6 – 3. With her victory on the previous round against Begu, the defending champion extended her winning record in Charleston to 8 matches.

We picked Stephens as the player to keep an eye and the American proved to be a valuable investment on this event, defeating so far Danka Kovinic, Daria Gavrilova and Darya Kasatkina. Sloane had her toughest test on this event in the previous round against Kasatkina, in a match where she saved one match point with an outrageous inside out forehand. Stephens is looking for her third final this year, after reaching that stage of the competition in Auckland and Acapulco.

These two players will face each other for the third time on their careers, with one victory for each player. Kerber won the first match they played in 2012 at Indian Wells by 2 – 6 7 – 5 6 – 4 while Stephens emerged victorious in 2015, also in Indian Wells, by 7 – 6 6 – 2.

It should be an exciting contest between two high quality players and neither of them should go down without a fight. Sloane will be looking to overplay her opponent with her powerful groundstrokes while Kerber will try to extend the rallies with her defensive skills. We believe this match might turn into an epic battle and for that reason, we recommend you to add the Over to your tennis picks.
