Join us while we analyze the ATP Houston and WTA Charleston Finals. Find out our two top tennis picks for this events and why should you play these two valuable tennis bets.

Sloane Stephens (7) vs. Elena Vesnina (q)
It has been a remarkable week for Sloane Stephens, with the American reaching her third final in 2016. We picked Sloane as the player to keep an eye on at 21.00 on bet365 and she proved to be an outstanding investment. On our semifinals analysis, we expected Stephens to give a good fight to the defending champion, Angelique Kerber, but the German was forced to retire due to illness when she was trailing by 1 – 6 0 – 3.

After a terrible year of 2015, where Elena Vesnina ended the season for the first time outside top 100 since 2005, the Russian returned to her best tennis in 2016 – reaching her first WTA final since 2013 in Eastbourne. Due to her low ranking, Vesnina had to play the qualifying on this event with seven victories already in Charleston. Elena lost only one set on her path into this final against Sara Errani at the semifinals, in a match where the former world no.21 emerged victorious by 6 – 4 4 – 6 6 – 2.

This will be the second career meeting between these two players, with Vesnina winning the previous in Hobart 2013 by 6 – 2 6 – 2.

Both have been playing at great level this season and we should witness a high quality final. Vesnina is an extremely powerful player however, her game is too unidimensional while Sloane is able to mix things very well with powerful and top spin groundstrokes. It won’t be easy for Elena to perform at her best on her return to a final after a three years absence while Stephens already played – and won – two finals this year. With this in mind, we suggest adding Sloane to your tennis picks to lift the trophy in Charleston.

Jack Sock (4) vs. Juan Monaco
In our semifinals analysis we picked Feliciano Lopez to defeat Juan Monaco, our player to keep an eye on. However, Lopez was far from his best level on serve – 52% first serve in, 4 aces / 5 double faults and broken 5 times. On the other hand, Monaco also faced 8 break points but managed to save 6 of those. This is Juan’s second career final in Houston, with the Argentinean winning the title on his previous appearance in 2012.

In our tournament analysis we selected Jack Sock as the most valuable player to win the title and it has been a great run for the defending champion, not losing a single set so far. Jack had a very tough task in the semifinals against his fellow countryman John Isner, in a match where Sock emerged victorious by 7 – 6 6 – 4. Despite placing only 51% first serve in, Jack played very well with his second serve – winning 70% of the points on his second serve and saving the only break point he faced.

These two players will face each other for the first time on their careers, with both looking for their second title in Houston.

Monaco will try to explore Sock’s weaker backhand with his cross-court backhand yet, the American has been quite solid with that shot. Adding to this, Juan is giving too many chances on his service games and Sock should take advantage of them. If this match was played on slower conditions Monaco might have better chances but on this faster courts Sock should be too strong. Having said that, we recommend taking advantage of the American tennis odds by placing a bet on him.
