Nick Kyrgios vs. Stan Wawrinka (2)
As we mentioned in our tournament preview, Nick Kyrgios could be a very dangerous opponent for Tomas Berdych and the Australian confirmed that with a straight sets victory over the Czech in the quarterfinals. After struggling to adjust to the new game conditions on his first round match against Martin Klizan, Kyrgios raised the level of his game, with the Australian firing an average of 1.11 aces per service game in the previous two matches and not losing his serve a single time.

It hasn’t been an easy week for Stan Wawrinka, with Suisse being close from elimination on his first round match against Sergiy Stakhovsky, but he managed to recover from a set and break down. Wawrinka had a good victory on his quarterfinals clash against Philipp Kohlschreiber, defeating the German by 7 – 5 6 – 1; however, he keeps struggling to perform at a consistent level, ending the match with 27 winners / 34 unforced errors and losing his service twice.

This will be the third career meeting between these two players, with one victory for each side on the h2h. Both matches were played last year, with Stan winning the first on grass while Kyrgios claimed the victory on Hard Court.

It should be a thrilling contest, with Kyrgios trying to maintain his winning streak while Wawrinka will be looking to revenge last year’s loss at Montreal against the Australian. Nick has been serving at an outstanding level, which makes him even more dangerous on baseline rallies. The Australian overflows with confidence and with Novak Djokovic out of this competition, he knows this is a massive opportunity to grab his second career title. Due to Stan’s inconsistency and Nick’s tremendous level, we believe this should be a close contest and we advise adding the Over to your tennis picks.

Agnieszka Radwanska (3) vs. Carla Suarez Navarro (8)
For the second year in a row Carla Suarez Navarro reaches WTA Doha’s semifinals. We picked the Spaniard to cover her spread against Elena Vesnina in the quarterfinals and Carla got the job done, with a 6 – 3 7 – 6 triumph. Suarez Navarro was once again incredibly solid from the baseline, ending the match with 22 winners / 24 unforced errors and like it happened on the previous match, she had 14 break point chances.

Agnieszka Radwanska will be looking for her first WTA Doha final, after losing in all her previous five appearances at this event’s semifinals. The Polish had to work hard on her quarterfinals match against Roberta Vinci, recovering from a set down. It was a terrific match, with both players mixing things with their slice shots and rushing very often to the net. Both faced 12 break points, but at the end, Radwanska’s experience was the key with the Polish saving 8/12 while Vinci only saved 50%.

This two players will face each other for the 6th time on their career, with Radwanska leading on h2h by 4 – 1.

They played earlier this year at the Australian Open, where Agnieszka emerged victorious by 6 – 1 6 – 1, but it’s important to mention that Suarez Navarro was suffering from an ankle injury that clearly affected her movement on that match. Radwanska has been far from impressive on this competition and Carla has a great chance to surprise the Polish. This should be a much closer contest than the tennis odds suggest and for that reason, we suggest you to add the Over as the best play for this match.
