The WTA Premier events continue this week with the best players fighting for the title in Wuhan. Find out who the main contenders are and the player to keep an eye on for your tennis picks.

WTA Wuhan
The Dongfeng Motor Open takes place in Wuhan and will be played on Hard Court.

Main Contenders
Victoria Azarenka is still looking for her first title this season, many physical problems have affected the former World No. 1 who needs to be at 100% physically to produce her high intensity baseline tennis.

Vika played at good level at US Open however against Halep in quarterfinals was too erratic losing in three sets. Azarenka has the quality to win any tournament especially when Serena is not there, however she still seems far from her best level and there isn’t value on her at 6.50 on bet365.

Simona Halep is the 1st seed and will be looking to do better than last season when she lost in her debut against Garbine Muguruza.

Simona is a having a very demanding season and has struggled to keep her game level like it happened last week in Guangzhou where she had an early loss to Denisa Allertova. For sure she should be more motivated for a higher event like this, but her accumulated fatigue from the season might not allow her to play her best so our advice is to skip her tennis odds at 7.50 at bet365.

Defending champion Petra Kvitova is other of the main favorites for the event and she has a very interesting draw to reach at least semifinals however she’s always far from consistent.

Kvitova performed at good level in US Open but due to her health problems and her usual inconsistency there isn’t value on her for the title at 7.00 at bet365.

Player to Keep an Eye On
Caroline Wozniacki has a pretty interesting draw and should be able to do a good run in this event. Caroline is currently at 6th place in race to Singapore but can’t afford an early loss at a high tournament like this.

The two main opponents she has until semifinals are two very powerful but inconsistent players. The is Madison Keys first tournament since US Open, she’s always dangerous but outside US soil has only been able to perform at good level in Grand Slam events. The other player is Wimbledon finalist Garbine Muguruza who has a 3 – 1 lead on h2h against Caroline but has been very erratic since Wimbledon and would need to make a massive improvement in order to overcome such a tough competitor as Caroline.

The Danish has Belinda Bencic, Angelique Kerber or Maria Sharapova as possible opponents in the semifinals, all of them will be tough but there are chances for Caroline and her price to win the title at 17.00 on bet365 has massive value and we’ll add it to our tennis picks.
