Another weekend of Premier League acton is upon us so let’s try to assemble a 4-team accumulator (parlay) with some prop picks & league fun facts & see if we can make it happen at the betting window.

Another weekend of English Premier League  is upon here on Matchday 3 so let’s try to compile a 4-team accumulator (parlay) using three of the league’s big four clubs along with Swansea City who plays downtrodden Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. The payback on this particular accumulator comes back at a little less than 10-t0-1 odds, and instead of looking at it as a Manchester United-Swansea City-Chelsea-Manchester City ticket, it’s probably better to view this particular bet and these soccer picks as a wager against Newcastle United, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and on the hottest team in the EPL.

Saturday, August 22
Manchester United vs. Newcastle United (NBCSN, NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Deportes En Vivo Extra, NBC UNIVERSO (US); BT Sport 1, BT Sport Ultra HD (UK); 7:45 a.m. ET/4:45 a.m. PT): Manchester United (2-0-0, 2 GF-0 GA) welcomes Newcastle United (0-1-1, 2 GF-4 GA) to Old Trafford on Saturday in the first fixture on the English Premier League Matchday 3 slate. The Red Devils have won both of their games this season by 1-0 scorelines (Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa) and United has W3 straight in this series, including a 3-1 victory in this fixture in Week 18 last season. The Red Devils are 41-20-8 lifetime at Home L9 vs the Magpies and Papiss Cissé, outscoring Newcastle 153 GF-77 GA in the process, and 2nd-year Manager Louis Van Gaal will be looking for new 21-year-old Dutch-signee Memphis Depay ( (PSV Eindhoven; 45/1 to win EPL Goal Scoring title, 5Dimes), Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata, new-signee Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich) and last week’s goal-scorer, Adnan Januzaj, for a goal or two as United will look to remain unbeaten to start the fresh season.

EPL Picks: Manchester United -256 (5Dimes)

Sunderland vs. Swansea City (NBC Sports Live Extra, Premier League Extra Time, Directv (US); Sky Mexico (COSTA RICA) 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT): The Stadium of Light is the site of this match between host Sunderland (0-0-2, 3 GF-7 GA) and Welsh visitors Swansea City (1-1-0, 4 GF-2 GA), and despite the fact this game ended in a 0-0 Draw last season, the Swans new-signee André Ayew (Marseille) has been on fire the first two matches of the new season and along with teammates Ki Sung-yueng, Nathan Dyer, Gylfi Sigurðsson and Bafetimbi Gomis, Swansea City should be able to get a goal or three against the Black Cats. Sunderland was thrashed by Leicester City, 4-2 in its opener and then lost 3-1 at Home last weekend to Norwich City and has allowed the most goals (7) in the EPL to date. The Black Cats really need a win, but the way this team has started has to be making Manager Dick Advocaat nervous. Lifetime in Premier League play, the Swans are 5-6-1 (17 GF-7 GA) against the Sunderland and Swansea City is 2-3-1 (5 GF-4 GA) here at the Stadium of Light. Backing Ayew in the Anytime Goalscorer market (+245, 888sport) seems wise as the Ghanaian seems to be enjoying England’s top flight of football so far.

EPL Picks:Swansea City +109 (5Dimes)

West Bromwich Albion vs. Chelsea (NBC UNIVERSO, NBC Sports Live Extra, Telemundo (US); Sky Sports 1/HD UK, Sky Go UK, SKY GO Extra, NOW TV (UK); 8:30 a.m. ET/5:30 a.m. PT): Defending English Premier League champions and now 16th-place Chelsea (0-1-1, 2 GF-5 GA) head to the West Midlands and The Hawthorns on Sunday to face West Bromwich Albion (0-1-1, 0 GF-3 GA) in this Matchday 3 fixture. Chelsea—which signed Striker Pedro (Barcelona) on Wednesday—will be getting starting GK Thibaut Courtois back after serving a 1-game Suspension in Matchday 2 (Manchester City) for a foul (and Red Card) he committed near the edge of the box against Swansea City’s Bafetimbi Gomis in the Blues’ 2-2 Draw with the Swans at Stamford Bridge on Matchday 1. The Blues were absolutely humiliated by the Sky Blues on Sunday (3-0), so expect a healthy combination of Desperation and Fear to fuel Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and the the boys from West London. Overall in EPL play, Chelsea is 44-25-33 (171 GF-151 GA) lifetime against West Brom but the Blues are an underwhelming 18-12-21 (63 GF-86 GA) here at The Hawthorns vs. the Baggies. But over the L18 meetings between the two in league play, Chelsea is 14-2-2, although West Brom is 3-1-0 L4 vs. Chelsea here at Home allowing just 2 goals and blanking the eventual champs, 3-0 in a meaningless match here in Week 37 last season. So what happens? It seems the spot on the schedule this season is the Baggies worst enemy, and that no matter how good WBA has been over the L4 seasons against the Blues, Chelsea really needs a win here for both their heads and the points. Match preview

EPL Picks: Chelsea -155 (5Dimes)

Sunday, August 23
Everton vs. Manchester City (NBCSN, NBC Sports Live Extra, Telemundo, NBC Deportes En Vivo Extra (US); Sky Sports 1/HD UK, Sky Go UK, SKY GO Extra, NOW TV (UK); 11:00 a.m. ET/8:00 a.m. PT): Current EPL leaders Manchester City (2-0-0, 6 GF-0 GA) head to Merseyside on Sunday to face Everton (1-1-0, 5 GF-2 GA) at Goodison Park in this match which sees the Road Citizens as the Premier League odds makers favorites. And with captain Vincent Kompany (2 goals), Yaya Touré (1 goal), Sergio Agüero 91 goal), David Silva (1 goal), Fernandinho (1 goal), Jesús Navas, Samir Nasri, Fernando as well as talented new-signees Wilfried Bony (last January, Swansea City), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool) and now CD Nicolás Otamendi (Valencia), City looks like the team to beat in the EPL and if the rumors that Kevin De Bruyne (VfL Wolfsburg) is coming to the Etihad Stadium end up coming true, then the Citizens may be able to make some noise in the UEFA Champions League tournament. Rosters matter very much. And even though the Toffees and GK Tim Howard, Romelu Lukaku (2 goals), Ross Barkley (2 goals) and Arouna Koné (1 goal, 2 assists) have had a fairly nice start to the new season, playing Watford (2-2) and Southampton (3-0) is much different than playing mighty Manchester City, Expect Agüero, Silva (3 assists) and Touré to shine again on Matchday 3 against Manager Roberto Martínez and Everton here and laying 1 goal and taking a small shot at a 2-goal win is the idea to end this accumulator with a Sky Blue bang, even in Liverpool. The Citizens have the best Roster in the EPL and they are also renowned for their Defense and with 0 Goals allowed so far and Chelsea scuffling, Citizens Manager Manuel Pellegrini has to be a little pleased.

EPL Picks: Manchester City -1 +124 (5Dimes)
