As we predicted in our WTA French Open Day 1 analysis, Timea Bacsinszky proved too strong for Sara Sorribes Tormo with an easy 6 – 1 6 – 2 victory. Playing in Roland Garros brings the best out of Bacsinszky with an astonishing 10 – 2 record over the past three years. Taking a look now at Timea’s numbers in the opening round in Paris, the highlight goes to her return to serve with the Swiss winning 68.18% of the points played on Sorribes Tormo’s serve.
After four consecutive defeats in the opening round, Madison Brengle is for the first time in the French Open 2nd round. Famous for her counter punching skills, Brengle’s game style is not as effective on clay as it is on faster surfaces such as Hard Court or grass. Looking now at Madison’s campaign on this tournament, the world no.82 reaches this stage of the competition after an epic win over Julia Goerges by 1 – 6 6 – 3 13 – 11. Despite Brengle’s solid display, Goerges was unable to perform at a consistent level with more than 80 unforced errors.
This will be the 2nd career meeting between these two players with Bacsinszky leading on the h2h by 1 – 0 after her victory four years ago in Wimbledon.
Due to Timea’s remarkable record in Paris and outstanding performance in the opening round, it’s impossible to go against the Swiss. Having said that, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of Bacsinszky’s tennis betting odds by placing a bet on the 2015 semifinalist to win this match in straight sets.Free Tennis Pick: Timea Bacsinszky 2 – 0 (-121)

Sara Errani (q) vs. Kristina Mladenovic (13)
Despite high expectations for Kristina Mladenovic’s attendance in the 2017 French Open, the home favorite is currently dealing with a back injury and may not be at 100% for this Wednesday’s contest. After defeating Jennifer Brady in the opening round by 9 – 7 on the decisive set, Mladenovic said that she only stepped on court because is Roland Garros. Kristina’s average serve speed shows well her back problems with 91.96 mph on first and 80.16 mph on second serve.
At the age of 30, Sara Errani is still one of the greatest competitors in the game. Besides her impressive 66.34% winning record on red dirt, Errani won 70.59% of the matches played throughout her career in Roland Garros. After winning three matches in the qualifying, Sara started her campaign in the main draw with a 7 – 6 6 – 1 victory against Misaki Doi. Famous for her outstanding return to serve, Errani won 70.00% of her opponents’ service games throughout this tournament.
These two players know each other very well with Mladenovic winning three of their previous four meetings.
Despite Kristina’s lead on the h2h, it’s hard to trust on the French at this point due to her recent physical problems. Adding to this, Sara is one of the toughest opponents on the tour on this surface. With this in mind, our recommendation is for you to add Errani to your betting picks due to the tremendous value on her current odds.Free Tennis Pick: Sara Errani ML (+200)
