In this particular category the winner of the Golden Globe has also taken home the Oscar over 66 percent of the time since 1960 while the Critics’ Choice award winner for Best Picture has won the Academy Award over 63 percent of the time since ’95. The SAG award winner has hit in this category at a far less impressive 47 percent clip.</p> <p>Taking this into consideration we have to seriously contemplate the chalk on the board. While no one likes a longshot better than I it would be irresponsible to ignore the fact that the winner of the Critics’ Choice award for Best Picture has won the Oscar seven of the last eight years with the only exception being Social Network back in 2010.
