After a short international break, Premier League action returns this weekend, and what a match we've got to kick things off. The Gunners will be at home, but it's City that's the favorites in the soccer betting odds.

Odds Overview
An Arsenal win at home is priced at soccer odds of just over +200, which would typically be tremendous value. However, the Citizens have looked pretty strong, despite a recent loss, to open up the new season, so it's no surprise to see them favored in the +130 to +140 range. A draw is listed at roughly +250.

Just before the international break, the Gunners had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to newly promoted Leicester City.

Alexis Sanchez had put Arsenal ahead after 20 minutes, but the hosts responded a couple minutes later, and neither side could find a winner. As you'd expect, the Gunners generated far more chances, totaling 24 total shots, six of which were on goal, while also holding just over 68 percent of the possession.

Regardless, Arsenal wasn't able to find the necessary quality in front of goal, and you'd have to say Olivier Giroud's presence was missed.

Recently ruled out with a broken leg, Giroud is set to miss months, and that's obviously a big blow to the Gunners. With that news, Arsenal knew they needed to go out and find another striker, and they did just that by bringing Danny Welbeck on board from Manchester United.

Welbeck should immediately slot into Arsene Wenger's starting XI, and he'll finally get a chance to lead the line consistently after falling out of favor at Old Trafford. Welbeck, together with the likes of Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey, will try to make life difficult on City's back-line at the Emirates this weekend.

Manchester City
Not long ago, we penned an article detailing the nature of the Premier League and how easily upsets can happen. City's recent 1-0 home loss to Stoke City is the perfect example of what to expect in the top flight.

The Citizens, five days after scooting past Liverpool in a 3-1 win, were unable to get past the Potters, despite dominating possession and spending most of the 90 minutes in their half of the pitch.

In what was the biggest shock of the Premier League campaign so far, Mame Biram Diouf's goal on the counter in the 58th minute turned out to be the match-winner at the Etihad. Cue silence and disbelief for Citizens supporters.

Though it was certainly not the performance befitting of champions, City is still considered one of the top two favorites to win the title this season. It's a long campaign, and we're not the only ones that expect to see the Citizens in first or second by the end of the season.

Getting positive results in these big away fixtures could ultimately make the difference. City has the talent and the experience, but will they be able to respond after a crushing home loss and a couple weeks away from the club?

Premier League Pick
On the surface, the Citizens appear to be the better team, but we've already witnessed some crazy happenings in the Premier League, and we're only a few weeks in.

We reckon Arsenal will make a match of this and eventually earn a point. The Gunners are very tough to contend with at home, and they've got quite the formidable attacking line to contend with, especially after adding Welbeck to the mix.

With that in mind, we're going to recommend a 1-1 draw with our soccer picks. City's quality should be enough for at least a goal, but we ultimately see both sides settling for what could turn out to be crucial point down the line. Barring an early goal, we don't see either team being too adventurous here.
