It’s another day at the ballpark and let’s take a look at what looks best when making our MLB  Betting Picks of the Day for the last Wednesday in the month of May. Let's analyze the Angels vs. Mariners and the Indians vs. White Sox today.

We had the potential for a huge day, but overall taking the runlines on multiple games still benefitted us with a solid winning day, highlighted by a Dodgers win. Let’s attempt to carry this over and keep the “ball rolling”.

Los Angeles Angels (29-22) at Seattle Mariners (25-26)
King Felix at Favorables Odds
The Los Angeles Angels are a much improved team and the better team in this matchup, but with Felix Hernandez taking the mound for the Mariners, the complexion of the game changes and the Mariners have a legitimate shot at hitting the .500 mark in front of their home town fans.

Hernandez vs. Wilson
With pitcher C.J. Wilson (6-3, 3.00) pitching well as of late, this game should be a pitcher’s duel, even with players like Albert Pujols, Mike Trout, and Robinson Cano in this game.

In his last 2 starts, Wilson has allowed just 1 run on 9 hits in 15 1/3 innings. For the season, he’s held the opposition to a .217 BA.

For the Mariners, King Felix has won his last 3 starts and that’s difficult for him to do as Seattle is known for lacking the proper run support.

Robinson Cano
At .333 and 31 RBI, Robinson Cano is hitting like he did with the Yankees. He leads the team in most offensive statistical categories except for home runs. Cano has just 2 home runs and this can be attributed to not having that short porch in right field in Yankee Stadium. Nonetheless, Cano is still a major threat in this game and Seattle will rely on him heavily.

You have to side with Hernandez in your MLB picks, at home, and with these type of odds against an Angels team which is far from elite.

Cleveland Indians (24-29) at Chicago White Sox (27-27)
The Better “Sox” Team
Surprisingly, the Chicago White Sox are having a better season than the Boston Red Sox and they’re doing it with their offense. In tonight’s matchup against Cleveland, we could see a lot of runs due to a Noesi vs. House matchup and because Hector Noesi is taking the mound (0-4, 6.82), you can get the White Sox at much more appealing betting price.

How Bad Is He?
It’s amazing that Hector Noesi is still starting for a major league team after dropping 19 of his first 23 decisions as a pro. In that period of time, he also sports an unattractive 5.73 ERA.

If Noesi can go 6 innings for Chicago and give up 3 runs, that’s a success as the White Sox rank 4th in the league in runs and 7th in batting average.

Chicago is coming off of a 2-1 victory over the Tribe in which Justin Masterson wasn’t “masterful” enough. Chicago is looking to sweep this series tonight and have a legitimate shot against an inexperienced pitcher in T.J. House who allowed 5 runs and 11 hits in his last start against Baltimore. Alexei Ramirez (7 HR, 36 RBI, .324) will be licking his chops in a situation in which his experience should give him the edge even when the pitcher is supposed to have the edge.

Look for Chicago to go in for the sweep. Their offense has greatly improved and will be the difference in tonight’s matchup.
