This informative article highlights the best value MLB picks for Tigers/Reds and Rangers/Dodgers games. Find out why we predict that both of these games will go 'under.'
Tigers (Price) vs. Red (Cueto) 7:10 PM ET
David Price enters tonight in superb form over his previous four starts, posting a 1.38 ERA. As a matter of fact, his last two starts have resulted in complete game wins, and he allowed just one earned run during those outings. Detroit has gone 23-12-2 under the total in night games this season, and averaged only 3.1 runs scored per game.
The Reds Johnny Cueto has been terrific in five starts at home this year, going 3-0-2 under the total, posting a stellar 1.25 ERA, and compiling a better than 5:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Cueto has also gone 16-4 under the number since 2014 when the posted total is 7.5 or less. Cincinnati has gone under the total in their last four games, and they’re hitting a paltry .218 as a team during their previous seven.
This has all the ear marks of a low scoring game, and that’s the direction I’ll go when making one of my MLB picks on Wednesday. Pinnacle will provide us with the best value in that regard.
MLB Picks: Play on the Tigers and Reds under 6.5 (-103) at Pinnacle.
Rangers (W. Rodriguez) vs. Dodgers (Kershaw) 10:10 PM ET
Wandy Rodriguez has flown under the radar a bit this season. The southpaw hurler has gone 9-1 under the total with a solid 3.03 ERA in ten starts during this 2015 campaign. He’s displayed very good form in his last three outings, posting an excellent 1.86 ERA, and all three games went under the total. All six of his starts on the road have stayed under the number, and he had a terrific 1.89 ERA in those outings. Texas has gone 10-2 under the total in their last 12 games.
What more can you say about Clayton Kershaw that hasn’t already been said? He’s gone 5-1 in his team starts at home this season with a sparkling 1.99 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and a better than 7:1 strikeout to walk ratio. The 2014 National League Cy Young winner has displayed brilliant form during his last four starts, evidenced by a microscopic 0.94 ERA during that time. The Dodgers are 4-0 under in the last four and 8-3 under during their previous eleven games. They’ve also have a terrible .217 team batting average this season when facing southpaw starting pitchers.
I like this game to be a low scoring affair, and Bovada provides me with the best price.
MLB Picks: Play on the Rangers and Dodgers under 6.0 (+105) at Bovada.
