The 4th of July isn’t until 2 more days, but let’s see if we can set off a few early fireworks with a couple of MLB wins and money in your pockets as we provide our betting picks for Wednesday.

There are a lot of early games, but still a sufficient amount of night games to choose from.

Texas Rangers (37-46) vs. Baltimore Orioles (44-39)The Odds Are Insane
Texas is getting a lot of respect from the odds makers as the Orioles offense has been teeing off on the Rangers minor-league level pitching. After a two-homerun game two nights ago, Steve Pierce went yard again last night and was joined by former Ranger and PED specialist Nelson Cruz, and even Caleb Joseph. The Orioles have outscored the Rangers, who have lost 3 straight and 8 out of their last 10 games, 15-4 in their last two games. Baltimore is sending out ordinary pitching and is killing the Rangers pitchers, who don’t belong in the major leagues.

Not Just An Ordinary Pitcher
Chris Tillman starts for Baltimore and you can get him and the O’s at very reasonable odds; We have another pitching mismatch tonight. Tillman hasn’t been great, but he’s been good enough to win ball games. In his last 4 starts, Tillman has allowed 5 runs in 28 innings. Unless the meat of the Orioles order goes cold against an inexperienced starter for Texas we should see some more early fireworks from Steve Pearce, Nelson Cruz, Adam Jones, and possibly even J.J. Hardy. Baltimore should be -200 betting odds, but they’re just -148. Do yourself a favor and lay the juice with a team that needs a fire extinguisher to put them out. Take Baltimore.

Los Angeles Angels (47-35) vs. Chicago White Sox (39-46): Unstoppable
I thought that the Los Angeles Angels were the team of the future, and this may be true as they’re playing the best baseball that we’ve seen them play in years. The only difference is, it’s not guys like Josh Hamilton and Albert Pujols leading the team, guys like Kole Calhoun have been the saviors as Calhoun has been hitting out of the leadoff spot and doing a fantastic job. The Angels get another matchup against the American League Central Division bottom-feeding Chicago White Sox tonight.

#56 On Your Lineup Card
Kole Calhoun has a special number as he shares the #56 with the one and only “LT”. I’m talking Lawrence Taylor, folks. Calhoun has been playing like a monster lately, smashing dingers, and setting the table for the rest of the Angels lineup; the numbers don’t do him justice. He’s hit safely in 8 out of his last 10 games and in that time has had 4 multiple hit games with 3 HR and 9 RBI. Power numbers from a leadoff hitter are a plus and when you can get on base and have a hitter like Mike Trout follow you in the order that has the ability to knock in runs, it’s a luxury. Look for the Halos to use Calhoun in the leadoff spot regularly.

The Best Player In Baseball
Speaking off Mike Trout, the best player in baseball has been on a tear as of late. He’s 10 for his last 25 with 2 HR and 6 RBI. Trout is on a 9- game hitting streak and if he keeps hitting like this, he has a legitimate shot at the American League MVP Award. The MLB certainly doesn’t want to give it to Nelson Cruz. At -133 betting odds, the Angels, who have won 8 out of their last 10 games, should get past the White Sox tonight.

Free MLB Pick: Los Angeles -133 at 5 Dimes
