There aren't any favorites over -200 for today's baseball action, but there are still some favorites out there that should be able to get the job done. Are we adding any of these chalky picks to our collection for Wednesday?

The two favorites priced above -150 today will be the Angels, listed at -185 over the Astros at home, and the Cardinals, quoted at -160 or so at home against the Diamondbacks. Read on below for a closer look at seven games we're examining closely.

Cincinnati Reds (Simon) vs. Washington Nationals (Roark)
Covered by Ron Patrick
The Reds just can't seem to gain any traction, as they can currently be found four games below .500 on the season. They'll turn to Alfredo Simon (5-2, 2.45 ERA), who's been spectacular, and is a major reason why Ron likes the UNDER this afternoon. Tanner Roark (3-1, 3.65 ERA) starts for Washington.

MLB Pick: UNDER 7

Houston Astros (McHugh) vs. Los Angeles Angels (Weaver)
Covered by Willie Bee
They may be doing their part, going 7-3 over their last 10, but the Angels are still finding it tough to keep pace with the surging Athletics. Nonetheless, Willie likes them to win by two or more runs behind Jered Weaver against the Astros, who are just 7-14 on the road this season, even if Mike Trout is unavailable to play.

MLB Pick: Angels -1.5 (+105)

Los Angeles Dodgers (Ryu) vs. New York Mets (deGrom)
Covered by Ron Patrick and Steven Suarez
We have two different picks for this game. Ron thinks we'll see another offensive outburst after seeing 13 total runs cross the plate last night, so he'll be on the OVER. I think we should keep riding the Dodgers, especially since Hyu-Jin Ryu (3-2, 3.00 ERA) has been outstanding on the road so far.

MLB Pick: Ron: OVER 7 // Steven: Dodgers -125

San Francisco Giants (Cain) vs. Colorado Rockies (Chacin)
Covered by Willie Bee
Colorado won yesterday, improving to 16-6 at Coors Field in the process. The pitching matchup today features Jhoulys Chacin (0-2, 4.76 ERA) and Matt Cain (1-3, 3.92 ERA), both of whom have been rather disappointing. With that Rockies offense backing Chacin up, it's hard not to like them at home. Willie agrees.

MLB Pick: Rockies -120

New York Yankees (Whitley) vs. Chicago Cubs (Samardzija)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Cubs have won three straight, but they're still dead last in the NL Central. It's been a lot of tough luck for Jeff Samardzija, who has yet to record a winning decision despite logging a remarkable 1.62 ERA. Jeff is backing Chicago to get the W behind Samardzija this afternoon.

MLB Pick: Cubs -120

Baltimore Orioles (Tillman) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (Rodriguez)
Covered by Jeff Grant
Still eight games under .500, the Pirates are enduring a torrid start to their season and the nightmare just doesn't seem to be ending. Wandy Rodriguez has been a culprit, having recorded an awful 6.84 ERA heading into tonight. The Orioles will have Chris Tillman (4-2, 3.34 ERA) on the bump – will he lead the team to a win? Jeff will have his top MLB pick for this one available shortly.

Arizona Diamondbacks (McCarthy) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (Wacha)
Covered by Joe Catalano
The Cardinals are starting to put real pressure on Milwaukee in the division race and a very respectable home record (12-7) has been the main catalyst. St. Louis' pitching hasn't been too shabby either, with Michael Wacha (3-3, 2.82 ERA) just one of many that have contributed good numbers this season. Regardless, Joe is expecting runs on the board tonight and is taking the OVER.

MLB Pick: OVER 7
