We browse the early odds board in search of MLB betting value on Thursday's card. Read on and find two selections that will maximize your profits while you enjoy some NFL preseason games.

Indians vs. Rays

Right-hander Danny Salazar (4-5, 4.32 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) takes the hill for the Indians after dominating the Yankees on Saturday, when he gave up just one earned run on four hits with three walks and 12 strikeouts over seven innings to get a no-decision in a 2-1 loss. Salazar is now 1-0 with a 1.35 ERA, allowing just three earned runs on eight hits and five walks with 28 strikeouts over 20 innings in that span.

Blake Snell (0-6, 4.98 ERA, 1.58 WHIP) will get the ball for the Rays, looking for his first win of the season. Snell allowed three earned runs on seven hits (one home run) with one walk and five strikeouts in just four innings to get a no-decision in a 5-3 win against the Astros last Thursday. He was sent to Triple-A Durham but was shortly recalled because Alex Cobb landed on the disabled list with turf toe.

I like the Indians at -138 MLB odds. Snell will look to put together a decent showing before possibly heading back to the minors but he's just 0-3 with a 5.02 ERA in five home starts while Salazar is pitching extremely well and the Indians have a strong lineup.

Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks

Yu Darvish (7-9, 3.81 ERA, 1.14 WHIP) will start for the Dodgers after dominating the Mets in his debut with the team on Friday, when he surrendered just three hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts over seven scoreless innings in a 6-0 win. Darvish was spectacular, firing up 68 of 99 pitches for strikes, giving the Dodgers everything they could have hoped for when they traded for him.

Anthony Banda (1-1, 3.86 ERA, 1.20 WHIP) will make his third start of the season. He beat the Giants on Friday, giving up just one earned run on three hits with four walks and seven strikeouts over six innings in a 2-1 win. Still, I like Darvish and the Dodgers -156 for my MLB picks. Banda has a bright future but facing a team with a poor offense like the Giants doesn't compare to facing an elite lineup with a dominant pitcher like Darvish.

Free MLB Pick: Dodgers -156
