In the major league playoffs, we have more elimination games coming our ways before getting ready for the World Series. Here are the latest odds from 5Dimes as to who will earn the hardware.

Los Angeles (-153) - The Dodgers are in the World Series for the first time since 1988, when they crowned champions, which featured the famous Kirk Gibson home run. As these MLB odds show, they are backing to playing like they have most of the season. L.A. is on a 15-3 run and has so many players doing damage in the postseason and a bullpen that is shutting down everything. For MLB picks, difficult to bet the Dodgers.

New York (+255) - The Yankees run in the postseason has been fueled by home cooking, excellent pitching from starters and relievers and massive contributions from the 'Baby Bombers'. New York is 6-0 at Yankee Stadium in the playoffs and has won 19 of 22 since Sept.1 at home. Twice in the playoffs, they have been down 2-0 and come back to win or lead in series. Last AL Wild Card team to win Fall Classic was Boston in 2004.

Houston (+575) - Up 2-0 in series with New York, it was a foregone conclusion the Houston was in World Series. However, two problems have sprung up, baseball's best offense has nine runs in series with Yankees after averaging 5.5 during the regular season. And the bullpen has not done the job and has ERA of 5.46 in the postseason. Astros have lost the look.
