We browse the early MLB odds board in search of betting value on Wednesday's card. Read on for two selections that will maximize your profits before Thursday's NBA Draft.

Right-hander Ricky Nolasco (2-8, 5.01 ERA, 1.41 WHIP) takes the hill for the Angels after losing his sixth straight start last Thursday, when he allowed five earned runs on 10 hits (two home runs) and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings of a 7-2 loss against the Royals. Nolasco is winless since April 27 and he's just 1-4 with a 4.07 ERA in seven road starts.

Jordan Montgomery (4-4, 3.78 ERA, 1.25 WHIP) takes the hill for the Yankees after a shaky outing against the Athletics last Thursday, when he gave up four earned runs on seven hits (two home runs) and one walk with five strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings to get a no-decision in an 8-7 loss. Look for Montgomery to bounce back here while the New York offense explodes against the struggling Nolasco. I'm taking the Yankees at -168 MLB odds.

Diamondbacks vs. Rockies

Taijuan Walker (5-3, 3.32 ERA, 1.30 WHIP) will start for the Diamondbacks after allowing just one earned run on six hits and a walk with six strikeouts over five innings to get a 2-1 win over the Tigers on Wednesday.

It was Walker's first start since coming off the disabled list but his blister issues didn't reoccur and he didn't seem to lack rhythm despite being out of the rotation since May 19. Maintaining his 3.32 ERA will be hard at Coors Field, although he did held the Rockies to three runs (one earned) on seven hits (one home run) in 5 2/3 innings of a 5-2 loss on May 7.

Jeff Hoffman (4-0, 2.25 ERA, 0.94 WHIP) will make his seventh appearance of the season (sixth start) for the Rockies. The right-hander pitched well against the Giants on Thursday, giving up just one earned run on seven hits and three walks with two strikeouts in five innings to get a no-decision in a 10-9 win and he's allowed one earned run or less in four of his five starts and three earned runs or less in all his appearances.

I'm adding the Rockies -127 to my MLB picks, Hoffman has a 2.89 ERA in four night appearances (three starts) and the current Diamondbacks lineup is just 4-for-16 (.250) against him.
