Riding the teams that have enabled us to have 10 out of 11 winning days is the theme for today as there's a lot of early MLB action on this Sunday with our picks of the day.

New York Yankees vs. Oakland Athletics
That's just what the Yankees have been doing in the American League East Division as they've been picking apart a weak Oakland Athletics club and when something is working for the bettor, we're going to keep riding the Bombers, in hopes that they will sweep the Athletics as we move on to the next week.

The Yankees aren't scoring a ton of runs as Masahiro Tanaka took down the A's yesterday with a 5-1 victory, but the A's aren't scoring because the Yankees pitching staff and bullpen is simply outpitching them. In the 3 games played thus far, the Yankees have outscored Oakland 17-5. It's pretty difficult to win ball games when you're averaging less than 2 runs per ball game and sending inferior pitchers to the mound each game.

Carlos Beltran
I keep mentioning him. Another reason for the Yankees success is the play of Carlos Beltran. At 39, Beltran hasn't seemed to lose his game as he's been a key figure in most of these games. On Friday, he smacked 3 doubles and once again yesterday, he went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored.

Beltran is 10 for his last 26 at bats with 4 doubles, 2 HR and 11 RBI. I don't expect manager, Joe Girardi, to give him the day off as he's been carrying this team offensively. Expect more production out of Beltran as Michael Pineda (1-5, 6.60 ERA) attempts to get it together. Pineda concerns me as he has the knack for giving up a ton of 1st inning runs.

Due to Pineda, we're going to make this a 1 unit MLB pick as he hasn't earned my confidence.

Chicago Cubs at San Francisco - Sunday Night Baseball
There are other games that we can choose on Sunday, but all of the games are early and we look for the bettor to have a chance to regain some of their losses or make an extra profit as the Sunday Night Baseball  game is the only game running at night.

Bounce Back Effort From the Cubbies?
This is baseball and anything can happen. Proof of that was yesterday as an 0-5 Matt Cain, defeated the best team in baseball in the Chicago Cubs as the Giants are no pushover and were simply the better baseball team. Now, Chicago has a bit of pressure on them in a pitching matchup that doesn't favor them.

Madison Bumgarner (5-2, 2.45 ERA) has been "aces" for the 1st place Giants and the Cubs need to find a way to raise Bumgarner's pitch count and get to the San Francisco bullpen or simply scratch out a few runs and hope that Kyle Hendricks outpitches Bumgarner. This scenario doesn't seem likely.

This should be a close game as Bumgarner does have to face guys like Dexter Fowler (5 HR, 21 RBI,.324 BA, .445 OBP), Kris Bryant (9 HR, 31 RBI, .282 BA), and Ben Zobrist (6 HR, 29 RBI, .329 BA) who can give him a run for his money and Chicago does have the better offense, but Buster Posey is coming off of a game in which he hit a home run and the Giants are a deep offensive team that overcome MLB odds at times. We're going to lean towards the Giants tonight.
