We browse the early odds board in search of betting value on Sunday's card. Read on for two MLB picks to maximize your profits and end the week a winner before Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday.

Athletics vs. Rays

Right-hander Jesse Hahn (2-4, 3.40 ERA, 1.29 WHIP) starts for the Athletics after having one of his best outings of the season last Monday, when he allowed an unearned run on seven hits and one walk with two strikeouts over six innings of a 4-1 win over the Blue Jays. Hahn is 0-3 in six road appearances (five starts) but he posted a decent 2.84 ERA in those outings.

The Rays will go with Chris Archer (4-4, 3.65 ERA, 1.15 WHIP), who took the loss on Tuesday despite holding the White Sox to just two earned runs on five hits (two home runs) and no walks with 11 strikeouts across seven innings.

Archer went without a walk for the second time this season and he reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time in his last four starts, posting an outstanding 8.20 strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) during that span.

The decisions aren't currently going their way but Hahn and Archer are pitching quite well as of late, which is why I'm looking at 'Under' 8 at -117 MLB odds here.

Blue Jays vs. Mariners

J.A. Happ (0-4, 5.33 ERA, 1.22 WHIP) will take the hill for the Blue Jays still looking for his first win of the season. Happ allowed five earned runs on four hits (two home runs) and three walks with four strikeouts in a 5-3 loss against the Athletics on Monday.

The left-hander, who won 20 games last season, has had command issues in two starts since returning from an elbow injury, issuing six walks while serving up four home runs over 9 1/3 innings and he's just 0-2 with a 5.84 ERA in two road starts.

James Paxton (5-0, 1.69 ERA, 1.00 WHIP) will make his ninth start of the season for the Mariners. The left-hander gave up three earned runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts over five innings in Tuesday's 12-3 win over the Twins. Paxton has allowed three earned runs or less in seven of his eight starts and he's 4-0 with a miniscule 1.17 ERA in five home starts.

I'm adding the Mariners -158 to my MLB picks because of Paxton's impressive form. Happ has been one of my favorite pitchers for years but I just can't trust him this season.
