Right-hander Lance McCullers Jr. (7-1, 2.69 ERA, 1.07 WHIP) takes the hill for the Astros, looking to win his sixth straight decision. McCullers gave up three earned runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings to get a no-decision in Friday's 13-4 loss to the Yankees and he's now third in the American League with a 2.69 ERA, fourth with a 1.07 WHIP and seventh with 103 strikeouts.

Francisco Liriano (4-4, 5.66 ERA, 1.61 WHIP) will get the ball for the Blue Jays after a poor effort against the Red Sox on Saturday, when he allowed five earned runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts over six innings of a 7-1 loss. Liriano is 3-2 with a 4.62 ERA in seven home starts and just 2-3 with a 6.30 ERA in nine night starts. I'm taking the Astros at -154 MLB odds, they're by far the better team, they're the best road team in the majors and McCullers is 3-1 with a 3.02 ERA in eight road starts.

Red Sox vs. Rays

Chris Sale (11-3, 2.61 ERA, 0.90 WHIP) will start for the Red Sox after winning his third straight start. Sale threw seven scoreless innings with four hits, one walk and 11 strikeouts in Saturday's 7-1 win against the Blue Jays. The left-hander is averaging an impressive 12.3 strikeouts per nine innings (K/9), he leads the American League with 120 2/3 innings pitched, 166 strikeouts and an 0.90 WHIP and is second with 11 wins and a 2.61 ERA.

Jacob Faria (3-0, 2.23 ERA, 0.90 WHIP) will make his sixth start of the season after having another solid outing on Friday, when he gave up three runs (two earned) on four hits (one home run) and zero walks with six strikeouts in 6 2/3 innings to get a no-decision in a 6-4 win against the Orioles. I'm looking at Under 7.5 for my MLB picks. Sale is 5-2 with a 2.86 ERA in nine road starts while Faria is 1-0 with a 2.92 ERA in two home starts.
