Once again we are back with our best totals selections on today's MLB betting card. Read this revealing preview that covers totals for Rays vs. Tigers & Indians vs. White Sox.
Rays (Ramirez) at Tigers (Boyd) 7:08 PM ET
Erasmo Ramirez has displayed shaky form in his last three starts, posting a lofty 5.87 ERA and 1.63 WHIP during those outings. The Rays have averaged a healthy 5.1 runs per game and compiled an impressive .852 OPS in their last seven contests. Tampa Bay is 10-4-1 over the total in their previous fifteen games.
Matt Boyd has gone a dismal 1-7 in his team starts this season with a large 8.27 ERA and 1.84 WHIP. The Tigers southpaw hurler has allowed 7 home runs in just 18.0 innings pitched during his previous four starts. He can’t expect much help from his bullpen which has a terrible 4.74 ERA as a staff in 2015. According to current MLB betting odds, Detroit is a +115 money line underdog. The Tigers are 44-25 (63.8%) over the total this year as a money line underdog.
This has the earmarks of a high scoring game, and one of my MLB picks today will support that notion. 5Dimes provides MLB bettors the cheapest price pertaining to this wager.
MLB Pick: Rays & Tigers over 9.0 (-103) at 5Dimes
Indians (Carrasco) at White Sox (Rodon) 8:10 PM ET
Carlos Carrasco has been in terrific form during his previous five starts, evidenced by an excellent 1.36 ERA and 0.60 WHIP in those outings. Cleveland is 44-27 (62%) under the total in away games in 2015. They will be facing a southpaw (Rodon) starting pitcher this evening. Cleveland has gone 29-19 under the total in that role this year, averaging only 3.4 runs per game, and possessing a horrible .264 OBP. They’ve also gone 6-1 under the total in their last seven games overall, and had a poor .220 team batting average during that stretch.
Carlos Rodon has posted a brilliant 1.85 ERA during his previous five starts. The White Sox lost 3-2 to Cleveland in Monday’s series opener between these AL central rivals. Chicago is 16-4 under the total in 2015 following a game in which they scored 3 runs or less. The White Sox are 40-25 (61.5%) under the total at home this year.
These teams have seen each of their eight meetings at US Cellular Field go under the total this season, and are 12-2 under during all fourteen of their encounters during the 2015 MLB campaign. Runs will be hard to come by in “The Windy City” today. Pinnacle provides the best betting value regarding this specific wager.
