We've got some great baseball betting matchups on the board tonight. The Braves tangle with the Red Sox and the Cardinals play host to the Yankees and we're covering those games and more in our daily MLB odds report for Tuesday. Come check out our cappers' thoughts on the slate.

Boston Red Sox (Lester) vs. Atlanta Braves (Harang)
Covered by Ron Patrick
How will Jon Lester respond after his worth start of the season? He was tagged for 10 hits and seven earned runs in a bad home loss to Toronto, but that shouldn't take away from what's been a great season for the left-hander overall.

He'll be opposed by Aaron Harang, who's gone 4-4 with a 3.32 ERA for the Braves in 2014. Ron has looked over the various angles and believes Boston is the better play as the road favorites for tonight's game.

MLB Pick: Red Sox -140

New York Yankees (Phelps) vs. St. Louis Cardinals (Lynn)
Covered by Ron Patrick & Jeff Grant
Both teams are playing good baseball. The Yankees have won three in a row, helping them keep pace with the red-hot Blue Jays in the AL East. The Cardinals are 7-3 over their last 10 and are just a game-and-a-half back of Milwaukee in the NL Central.

We had both Ron and Jeff look over this matchup and they're in agreement with their recommended MLB picks. They both believe St. Louis is the best play at home, where they've gone 14-8 this season.

MLB Pick: Cardinals -140

Chicago Cubs (Arrieta) vs. San Francisco Giants (Hudson)
Covered by Willie Bee
The Giants have to be incredibly pleased with their acquisition of Tim Hudson. The veteran right-hander has been well worth the price, having gone 4-2 with a 2.13 ERA for his new team. He'll go up against the Cubs, who are 9-17 on the road and 19-30 overall despite playing above .500 ball (6-4) over their last 10 games.

Jake Arrieta (1-0, 2.33 ERA) has been solid for Chicago, but Willie thinks the posted total is a little too low tonight. He's siding with the OVER.

MLB Pick: OVER 6.5

Los Angeles Angels (Weaver) vs. Seattle Mariners (Elias)
Covered by Willie Bee
Jered Weaver has been at the top of his game lately and will be coming off a complete-game performance against Houston in which he allowed only two hits and one run. Weaver is 5-3 with a 2.85 ERA on the year.

As a team, the Angels have been solid on the road at 13-9 and Willie believes they can keep it going against a Mariners team that's just 11-12 at Safeco Field in 2014.

MLB Pick: Angels -130

Cleveland Indians (Masterson) vs. Chicago White Sox (Sale)
Covered by Jeff Grant
How about that for a return by Chris Sale? He held the Yankees to one hit and no runs over six innings while striking out 10 and walking none. Sale is now a perfect 4-0 with a 1.89 ERA so far this season and will be aiming for a fifth winning decision against Justin Masterson and the Indians tonight.

Masterson hasn't been effective at all this year, yet Jeff still believes in the right-hander and will recommend the Indians at a big underdog price.

MLB Pick: Indians +155

Cincinnati Reds (Simon) vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (Greinke)
Covered by Doug Upstone
You couldn't ask for a much better pitching clash than the one we should see out of Zack Greinke (7-1, 2.01 ERA) and Alfredo Simon (6-2, 2.31 ERA). Greinke and the Dodgers enter as the clear MLB betting favorites at right around -175.

Despite a poor 10-13 record at Dodger Stadium, it's tough to go against Greinke in this spot, especially with the Reds struggling to score runs like they are. Take the heavy chalk and back Los Angeles this evening.

MLB Pick: Dodgers -175
