Trying to find an edge before placing your final MLB picks for Tuesday? SBR's handicappers have looked over a good deal of the upcoming games and have released their favorite plays in each. Let's see where the value really is.

New York Yankees (Phelps) vs. Toronto Blue Jays (Buehrle)
Covered by Willie Bee
What an amazing season it's been for veteran Mark Beuhrle. He's 10-4 with a 2.32 ERA so far and now gets a crack at the Yankees, who will put David Phelps (3-4, 3.86 ERA) on the mound.

The Blue Jays are doing everything in their power to stay on top in the AL East, but Willie isn't liking their chances tonight. He's backing New York, a solid 22-18 on the road in 2014, to get the victory and avoid their fourth straight loss.

MLB Pick: Yankees +130

Los Angeles Dodgers (Kershaw) vs. Kansas City Royals (Duffy)
Covered by Willie Bee
Two very talented southpaws will try to one up each other tonight, though Clayton Kershaw, who pitched a no-hitter in his last start, is obviously on a whole different level. Kershaw has been masterful as usual this season, going 7-2 with a 2.52 ERA.

Can he keep it going in a much tougher matchup? The Royals have been playing good baseball lately and will fancy their chances behind Duffy (2.80 ERA) at home. Willie believes Kansas City is indeed worth selecting.

MLB Pick: Royals +140

Boston Red Sox (Peavy) vs. Seattle Mariners (Ramirez)
Covered by Jeff Grant
There's no doubt where the momentum lies for tonight's matchup at Safeco Field. The Mariners have won four straight (7-3 over their last 10) and have pulled to within 6.5 games of the Athletics in the AL West. They'll be at home versus a Boston team that's gone 15-23 on the road this season.

We don't fault Jeff whatsoever for his choice of Seattle here. They're playing better right now and it's not like Jake Peavy (1-5, 4.52 ERA) has been anything special.

MLB Pick: Mariners +105

San Diego Padres (Hahn) vs. San Francisco Giants (Hudson)
Covered by Ron Patrick
The advantage is clearly without Tim Hudson and the Giants in this clash and no one would disagree there. San Francisco may not be playing as well as they normally do, but Hudson (7-3, 2.39 ERA) has been a stud and the Padres have struggled to get anything going offensively this season.

For San Diego, Jesse Hahn will get the assignment. Hahn has looked excellent since getting called back into the rotation 10 days ago. However, Ron thinks this is a game the Giants will win quite easily and will therefore back them on the run-line.

MLB Pick: Giants -1.5 (+160)

Detroit Tigers (Smyly) vs. Texas Rangers (Lewis)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The moods couldn't be much more different in these two clubhouses right now. The Rangers have been horrible, losing five in a row, while the Tigers have picked up victories in four straight to recover the first place title they thought was rightfully theirs in the AL Central.

When it comes to tonight's pitching, we'll have Colby Lewis (5-4, 5.97 ERA) and Drew Smyly (3-6, 3.48 ERA) on the mound. Jeff believes Lewis will do enough to help Texas finally end their losing run.

MLB Pick: Rangers +105

Washington Nationals (Zimmermann) vs. Milwaukee Brewers (Gallardo)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Brewers know how important wins are at this juncture, as they've got the Cardinals, Reds and Pirates all gaining steam behind them in the division. They'll be at home versus Jordan Zimmermann and the Nationals this evening.

Washington is on a roll, winning three straight to push to 40-35 and the top spot in the NL East. They've gone two games up on the Braves and will want that cushion to remain in place with another win. With his MLB pick recommendations, Jeff is forecasting a win for the Nationals.

MLB Pick: Nationals +105

St. Louis Cardinals (Miller) vs. Colorado Rockies (De La Rosa)
Covered by Matthew Jordan
Here's another National League battle, this team pitting the Rockies against the Cardinals. Colorado is in the midst of their worst run of the season, having lost seven straight games. As a result, the Rockies now find themselves 11 games back of the Dodgers in the NL West. Ouch.

Will Colorado stop the bleeding tonight? Matthew has his doubts and will instead roll with St. Louis to win their fourth consecutive contest. He also thinks the UNDER holds value as well.

MLB Pick: Cardinals -105 and UNDER 11
