It's a full slate awaiting us on Tuesday, but here at Sportsbook Review, we're only focusing on three games in our report. We've looked over the pitching duels for each matchup and we're confident in our recommended sports picks for the day.

Washington Nationals (Gonzalez) vs. Philadelphia Phillies (Hamels)
Covered by Ross Benjamin
As it stands now, the Nationals are cruising atop the NL East. They've built up a 7.5-game lead over Atlanta and look destined to win the division easily. Meanwhile, the Phillies are in the basement at 59-72 overall, 16.5 games back of Washington.

These two teams are very familiar with one another, with Cole Hamels and Gio Gonzalez set to take the bump tonight. Hamels is 7-6 with a 2.53 ERA this season, yet only last five innings in his latest assignment. Will he fare better here?

Gonzalez sits at 6-9 with a 3.83 ERA and is coming off one of his best outings of the season, in which he gave up only four hits in a 1-0 win over Arizona.

It should be a relatively low-scoring game tonight with these two hurlers pitching. At the end of the day, however, Ross likes the value we're getting on a stud pitcher in Hamels at home, and will therefore be selecting the Phillies with his MLB picks.
MLB Pick: Phillies -106

New York Yankees (McCarthy) vs. Detroit Tigers (Porcello)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Yankees have picked the right time to start playing great baseball, as they're still within striking distance of an American League wildcard spot. They've put together five straight wins ahead of tonight's encounter with the Tigers.

Detroit has won two straight to pull within a game and a half of Kansas City in the AL Central, so they could really use a quality outing from Rick Porcello (14-8, 3.10 ERA) this evening. Porcello pitched a complete-game shutout in his most recent start, so confidence should be high for the right-hander.

For the visitors, Brandon McCarthy will take the mound, and he's been terrific since moving over to the Yankees. The right-hander is 5-2 with a 1.90 ERA and clearly feels at home with New York. Let's see if he can quiet a potent Tigers lineup tonight.

It's somewhat surprising to see oddsmakers release a high O/U of 8.5 runs for tonight's series opener, considering these two pitchers are in good form at the moment. As a result of the inflated number, Jeff has decided to recommend you take UNDER those MLB odds.
MLB Pick: UNDER 8.5

Colorado Rockies (De La Rosa) vs. San Francisco Giants (Bumgarner)
Covered by Willie Bee
Our final stop comes in San Francisco, where Madison Bumgarner and the Giants will play host to Jorge De La Rosa and the Rockies.

Bumgarner has been performing as well as he has all season and takes a 14-9 record and 3.17 ERA into tonight's start. He's totaled 21 strikeouts over his last two outings and will be feeling very good about his chances of shutting down Colorado's bats.

Colorado will turn to De La Rosa, who's 13-8 with a 4.21 ERA. He's looked sharp as well, having surrendered only five hits and two earned runs over eight innings in a 5-2 home win over Kansas City six days ago. In that start prior to that, he gave up five hits and three runs in seven innings of a 7-3 win over Cincinnati.

We have another total recommended total play for this game at AT&T Park, but this time it comes on the OVER. Willie expects the offenses to show up, helping the OVER cash.
MLB Pick: OVER 6.5
