Although the Los Angeles Angels have been struggling recently I like how they battled back to win yesterday and I like them today on the plus money line for Friday's match vs. the Royals.
Los Angeles came out as the natural underdog for this game at a little bit over +120. That line has dropped just a little bit at some places, but you can still get some good odds on them like at Pinnacle sports where they are still at that +120. For me this is good plus money value on what is still a good team with a solid veteran on the mound.

Los Angeles Angels
Jered Weaver takes the mound with a 4.69 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 56 strikeouts, and a 4-8 record. He just came back from injury and looked pretty decent against the Orioles allowing two earned runs off of four hits in just five innings. Career wise we are getting a guy 3.36 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, and although he has not been as sharp as in years past the guy is a competitor. Last time out against Kansas City this season he got lit up for six earned runs in just four innings, this puts him in a good bounce back spot against a real good KC offense.
Offensively the Angels rank 16th in runs scored per game at 4.11, 21st in OPS at .698, and 24th in team batting average hitting .245. They are one of the more even keel offenses in the major leagues as their numbers don't change much whether they're in Los Angeles or on the road. After rallying yesterday I think they got the monkey off their back, afterall, they have too much talent. Look for them to have a lot of quality at-bats today.
Kansas City Royals
Danny Duffy gets the start for the Royals and comes in with a 4.19 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 56 strikeouts, and a 5-5 record. He has been a pretty decent option for the Royals and in his last five starts he has only allowed 11 earned runs despite his most recent poor outing against the White Sox. Still, at home he has been less been stellar with a 4.43 ERA and 1.43 WHIP. He has the ability to give up runs in bunches and I like for the Angels to do some solid damage against him.
On the offensive end the Royals rank ninth in runs scored per game at 4.34, 10th in OPS at .727, and third in team batting average hitting .269. At home most of their offensive stats go up and overall they are simply very tough to beat in Kansas City. Still, I like Weaver in this spot to at least keep them in check enough to give his team a chance.
With an incredible comeback win yesterday that might have been the spark the Angels needed to get them on a roll again. Doing it in Kansas City is a tall order but they have the talent to win another one from the Royals today, place your MLB picks on the underdog on the plus money line in this spot.
