We browse the early odds board in search of MLB betting value on Sunday's card. Read on and find two selections that will maximize your profits at the end of the week.

Rangers vs. Twins

Right-hander Nick Martinez (3-4, 5.07 ERA, 1.35 WHIP) takes the hill for the Rangers after a poor effort against the Mariners last Monday, when he gave up seven earned runs on eight hits (one home run) with two walks and no strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings of an 8-7 loss. Martinez is just 2-3 with a 5.24 ERA in seven road appearances (six starts), with opponents hitting .291 against him in those games.

Jose Berrios (9-5, 3.57 ERA, 1.15 WHIP) will get the ball for the Twins, looking to end a two-game losing streak, which includes last Monday's start against the Padres, when he allowed just one earned run on two hits with two walks and four strikeouts over seven innings of a 3-0 setback. Berrios pitched well in defeat and he's 5-1 with a decent 2.61 ERA in six home starts, with opponents hitting just .200 against him, so I'm taking the Twins here at -135 MLB odds.

Dodgers vs. Mets

Hyun-Jin Ryu (3-6, 3.83 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) will start for the Dodgers after tossing seven scoreless innings while surrendering five hits and one walk with seven strikeouts to get a no-decision in a 3-2 win over the Giants last Sunday. Ryu is winless since June 17 but he's 0-0 with a 2.43 ERA in four starts since.

Steven Matz (2-4, 5.50 ERA, 1.51 WHIP) will make his 11th start for the Mets, looking for his first win since June 28. Matz allowed three earned runs on six hits (one home run) and two walks with two strikeouts in five innings to get a no-decision in a 5-4 loss against the Rockies on Tuesday. Matz has lost his last three decisions and he's 0-2 with an awful 9.69 ERA in three home starts. I like the Dodgers -165 for my MLB picks, Matz still has long-term potential but this is clearly not his year and Los Angeles is on fire right now.
