We browse the early odds board in search of MLB betting value on Friday's games. Read on and find two picks that will maximize your profits at the start of the weekend.

Angels vs. Rangers

Right-hander Ricky Nolasco (4-9, 4.42 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) takes the hill for the Angels, looking to win his third straight start. Nolasco threw a complete game shutout against the Mariners on Saturday, surrendering just three hits with no walks and seven strikeouts in a 4-0 win and now he has pitched 15 1/3 scoreless innings over his last two starts, lowering his ERA from 5.23 to 4.42.

Cole Hamels (3-0, 4.12 ERA, 1.17 WHIP) will get the ball for the Rangers after allowing just two earned runs on two hits (one home run) and zero walks with six strikeouts across 6 2/3 innings in a 10-4 win against the White Sox last Saturday.

It was Hamels' second start since returning from the disabled list with an oblique injury and Saturday's pitching gem gives the Rangers plenty of hope going forward. I'm looking at Under 10 at -110 MLB odds, Hamels is 2-0 with a 3.05 ERA in three home starts and Nolasco should silence a Rangers team that has one of the worst batting averages in the majors.

Mets vs. Cardinals

Jacob deGrom (8-3, 3.55 ERA, 1.22 WHIP) will make his 17th start of the season here after Wednesday's game in Washington was rained out. deGrom has won his last four starts, including last Friday's phenomenal performance, when he gave up one earned run on three hits and a walk with 12 strikeouts in seven innings of a 2-1 win over the Phillies.

Carlos Martinez (6-7, 3.15 ERA, 1.12 WHIP) will start for the Cardinals after losing his second straight decision, when he allowed seven runs (five earned) on seven hits (two home runs) and four walks with three strikeouts over five innings in a 7-2 loss against the Nationals last Sunday but he has 11 quality starts in his last 13 outings.

I'm taking the Mets +107 with my MLB picks. deGrom is 4-0 with an 0.84 ERA, an 0.72 WHIP and a 3.88 strikeout-to-walk ratio (K/BB) in his last four starts while Martinez is winless since June 22.
