Our MLB consultant shares his two best totals picks on Saturday’s card. Join us in reading this betting preview article which highlights totals in games between the Mets/Braves and Tigers/Indians.

Mets (Syndergaard) vs. Braves (Perez) 7:10 PM ET
Noah Syndergaard has seen his last five starts all go over the total. He’s been a major contributor to those high scoring games based on his lofty 5.53 ERA during that stretch. The Mets have gone 7-3 over the total in their previous ten, and averaged a robust 6.5 runs per game. They’ve also compiled a terrific .348 team batting average over their previous seven games.

Williams Perez has seen each of his last five starts go over the total. Perez posted a sizable 8.76 ERA and 1.82 WHIP in those five outings.

These teams have seen ten of their fourteen encounters this season go over the total. The scheduled home plate umpire for Saturday’s game is Chris Segal. Games have gone 30-20 (60%) over the number since 2013 when Segal is calling balls and strikes.

I like this game to be a high scoring affair for one of my MLB picks on Saturday. According to current MLB odds board at 5Dimes, they provide us with a favorable betting value pertaining to this exact wager.

MLB Picks: Play on the Mets and Braves Over 8.0 (+106) at 5Dimes.

Tigers (Verlander) vs. Indians (Anderson) 7:10 PM ET
Jason Verlander has been terrific over his last six starts, posting a brilliant 1.27 ERA and 0.97 WHIP during that time frame. The Tigers have a poor .297 on base percentage as a team over their last seven games.

Cody Anderson has displayed superb form over his previous three starts, evidenced his 2.08 ERA and 0.75 WHIP in those outings. Anderson has faced Detroit once this season, and that occurred just last Sunday. The Indians hurler allowed no earned runs on just 2 hits while walking 2 in a 4-0 Cleveland win.

MLB Totals Betting Angle

-Cleveland has a .255 team batting average in 2015.

-Jason Verlander has a 1.09 WHIP for the year.

-The Detroit bullpen has a staff ERA of 4.79 this season.

Any American League home team (Indians) that has a .260 or less team batting average, versus an American League opponent (Tigers) with a bullpen ERA of 4.50 or more, and a starting pitcher (Verlander) with a WHIP of 1.10 or less, resulted in those games going 114-59 (65.9%) under the total since 1997.

MLB Picks: Play on the Tigers and Indians Under 7.0 (-105) at The Greek
