This sports betting consultant provides us with his three best totals MLB picks of the day found in the games between the Phillies/Reds, Padres/Braves, and Astros/White Sox.

Phillies (Hamels) vs. Reds (Leake) 7:10 PM ET
The Reds have gone 7-1 over the total during their previous eight games. They also have gone 3-0 over the number versus the Phillies in 2015. The Cincinnati starter Mike Leake is 6-0-1 over the total in seven career starts against Philadelphia, and posted a lofty 6.43 ERA in doing so. Leake has seen four of his five home starts play on the high side of the total in 2015, and he was a major contributor by posting a large 6.91 ERA in those outings. As a matter of fact, Leake has allowed 8 home runs in just 28 2/3 innings pitched in those five outings at Great American Ballpark.

The Phillies have gone 6-0 over the total in their last six, and scored 4 runs or more in each of those games. Although Cole Hamels is a perfect 14-0 in his career team starts versus Cincinnati, each of the last three have gone over the total.

I like this game to be a high scoring affair for one of my MLB picks, and 5Dimes provides me with the best price in that regard.

MLB Picks: Play on Phillies and Reds over 7.0 (-105)

Padres (Kennedy) vs. Braves (Miller) 7:10 PM ET
The Padres are 9-1-1 over the total in their last eleven games, and have scored 5 runs or more in eight of those contests. San Diego is also 36-21-1 over the total for the season. The Padres starter Ian Kennedy has gone 7-2 over the total in nine starts in 2015, posted a sizable 6.60 ERA, and allowed 12 home runs during just 45.0 innings pitched.

The Braves are 6-1-1 over the total during their last eight games, and they’ve scored 5 runs or more in seven of those outings. Atlanta has also gone 16-7-2 over the total at home this season. Atlanta starting pitcher Shelby Miller has been very impressive in the first year with his new club. However, he’s posted a shaky 1.50 WHIP in his last three starts.

I’m going to play on the high side of the MLB odds total in this game, and Pinnacle provides me with the best betting value.

MLB Picks: Play on Padres and Braves over 7.5 (+102) at Pinnacle.

Astros (McCullers) vs. White Sox (Sale) 8:10 PM ET
The Astros starter Lance McCullers has been terrific in his four starts in 2015, posting an outstanding 1.87 ERA, and nearly a 5:1 strikeout to walk ratio. Houston will be facing southpaw Chris Sale tonight. The Astros are 16-6 under the total versus left-handed starting pitchers this season, and have a paltry team batting average of .228 in that role.

Speaking of Chris Sale, he enters tonight in excellent form over his previous three starts, posting a superb 1.19 ERA, 0.66 WHIP, and just shy of a 12:1 strikeout to walk ratio. The White Sox are hitting a horrible .213 as a team during their previous seven games, and have accounted for only 38 home runs in 2015. They’ve also gone 16-8-1 under the total at home.

I’m looking for an old fashioned pitcher’s duel tonight, and subsequently a low scoring game. After shopping the major sportsbooks, 5Dimes provides me with the best price when making my MLB picks.

MLB Picks: Play on Astros and White Sox under 7.5 (-110) at 5Dimes.
