Another day, another action-packed baseball slate. To help you along the way to beating the sportsbooks, we're dishing out daily MLB betting reports that include some of our favorite moneyline and total plays. What do we have going for Thursday?

Today's biggest favorite tag belongs to the Tampa Bay Rays, who are trading at as high as -170 with David Price on the mound up against the Yankees. We cover that game and more below.

Boston Red Sox (Lester) vs. Chicago White Sox (Sale)
Covered by Ron Patrick
The Red Sox finally got back on the winning side yesterday and now send out lefty Jon Lester on the mound this evening. He's gone 1-2 with a 2.57 ERA through three starts.

Chicago counters with their own top lefty in Chris Sale, who's won all three of his starts while allowing a grand total of six earned runs in 20 and 1/3 innings. The White Sox will come in favored by a small margin and Ron believes they're the team worth backing with our sports picks.

MLB Pick: White Sox -113

Los Angeles Dodgers (Ryu) vs. San Francisco Giants (Bumgarner)
Covered by Ron Patrick
The Giants won another close one last night and have now won four straight games heading into this series finale tonight. They'll be going for the sweep over the Dodgers, who will turn to Hyun-Jin Ryu. Ryu bounced back from a rough start against this same San Francisco team to post seven innings of scoreless ball in his latest outing against Arizona.

Will he out-pitch lefty Madison Bumgarner (2-0, 3.31 ERA) this afternoon? Not so fast, says Ron, who's thinking the Giants are the right play here at home for our MLB picks.

MLB Pick: Giants -114

New York Yankees (Sabathia) vs. Tampa Bay Rays (Price)
Covered by Willie Bee
After a clean sweep of the Cubs at home, the Yankees now head to Tampa Bay with a four-game winning streak. They've been getting great pitching and hope that continues with CC Sabathia now getting the start.

New York will have to contend with ace David Price (2-0, 2.91 ERA), but even so Willie thinks the OVER may be the best course of action with our sports picks. He thinks these two offenses could break out of their slump this evening.

MLB Pick: OVER 7

St. Louis Cardinals (Wainwright) vs. Washington Nationals (Jordan)
Covered by Jeff Grant
The Cardinals lost their series finale in Milwaukee, but still come into this new set with Washington at 9-6 overall on the season, good for the second-best mark in the NL Central behind only a surprising Milwaukee team.

You have to figure St. Louis likes their chances of getting the series started off on the right foot, considering they have Adam Wainwright (2-1, 2.57 ERA) starting. Washington will put the ball in the glove of Taylor Jordan, who gave up 10 hits and five runs over five innings in his latest start in Atlanta.

MLB Pick: Check back later!

Milwaukee Brewers (Gallardo) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (Volquez)
Covered by Swinging Johnson
Speaking of the Brewers, they're raced out to a 11-4 start and remain perfect (6-0) on the road. They'll see if they can keep that going when they begin a four-game set in Pittsburgh tonight. Edinson Volquez and Yovani Gallardo will be the starting pitchers in the opener.

Volquez has stepped up in a major way, giving up a single run in each of his first two starts, one of which came in Milwaukee five days ago. Gallardo (2-0, 0.96 ERA) has been excellent as well, therefore making it tough to locate the best MLB betting value. SJ likes the Brewers and the UNDER.

MLB Pick: Brewers -105 and UNDER 7
