Sometimes you’re up and sometimes you’re down in this business, and the same can be said for guys at the plate in MLB. One guy I have my eye on has been red hot and I am tailing that tonight in our MLB Prop Pick of the day.

Anthony Rendon O/U 2 ½ runs, hits and RBI

Anthony Rendon has been a monster for the Nationals over their last nine games. With several sluggers banged up for the Nats, Rendon has stepped up in the batting order and has delivered.

He is 13-for-34 (.382) over his last nine games, with 6 doubles and 9 RBI. Although the home run ball hasn’t been in play for him recently, with that kind of streak, I am feeling good about betting the over on him in this prop.

Rendon and the Nationals will square off against Zach Davies, who has been good overall, but no so good when he pitches in Milwaukee. He has a 5.97 ERA over 72.1 innings pitched, and hitters have a .364 wOBA against him.

Rendon is 2-for-7 lifetime against Davies, with 1 double, an RBI, a walk, and 3 strikeouts. While Davies has the tools to ruin this play, Rendon being so hot and Davies being poor at home make this one worthwhile at a price tag of +135.

Davies was strong in his last two starts, one being at home, but it was against the Pirates. Even banged up, the Nats’ offense is a good one, and as long as guys are getting on base ahead of him, Anthony-two-bags is going to drive in a run or two in this one.
