Sunday features a full slate of baseball and below we will deliver a trifecta of top totals in our MLB picks just for you.

The hits keep coming as this season has been a torrent of winners, whether it be sides or totals, that we are cashing in our MLB picks The last time I featured totals was the Wednesday before last and it proved to be a 2-0 day so let's do it all over again. Upon studying the matchups and the MLB odds, I have cherry picked what I believe to be the sharpest totals on the board. Let's keep this ATM open and don't forget to check out my other column today where I deliver my selection on the Rangers/Cubs matchup.

Pirates vs. Nationals
Max Scherzer is one of the finest pitchers in baseball and has been an absolute beast over his last three starts, allowing just one earned run and an average of three hits per game. The Pittsburgh Pirates have managed just one run in this series thus far and history tells us that Max Scherzer will have his way again with the Bucs. The Nats' ace boasts a 3.08 ERA and a dazzling 0.849 WHIP against the Pirates and he should have no problem mowing down a lineup that has been unable to get on track recently.

Of course the flipside is the Pirates' young hurler Chad Kuhl who will get the nod today for Pittsburgh. Kuhl lasted just 2 1/3 innings in his last outing when the Cubs banged him out for four runs on seven hits before he was sent to the showers. Yet in his previous two performances he pitched well and should be able to hang with a decent, though not spectacular, Washington offense. Let's go low here.

Mets vs. Phillies
Here we have two fine pitchers and two anemic offenses. Any idea where I'm headed here? Jacob deGrom of the Mets is the real deal, sporting a 2.61 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP while the Phillies counter with a promising young gun of their own in Zach Eflin. New York's de Grom had a few rough patches earlier this season but is duplicating his towering performances from last season which has manifested in a 2-0 mark with a 1.35 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 20 innings over the course of his last three starts.

On the flipside, Zach Elfin got hammered by the Blue Jays in his first MLB start but has rebounded with a 2-1 record and a 2.20 ERA. Both the Mets and Phillies rank in the bottom third of all the major offensive categories and should be held in check by the quality pair of starters today. We should also note that de Grom has a sparkling 1.72 ERA in 26 career days starts. We're going low in this one.

Red Sox vs. Yankees
At the risk of sounding repetitive, I see another low scoring game in this one as well. The Red Sox have a ferocious offense but the Yankees are countering with Masahiro Tanaka. The Yankees' Japanese import has been phenomenal when his arm is rested as evidenced by his 5-0 record and 1.72 ERA with more than four days off versus a 1-2 mark with a 5.33 ERA in his eight other appearances.

Boston's ace David Price was crushed in his past appearance at Yankee Stadium but the $200 million pitcher has been getting it together lately. In his last three starts Price owns a 2.82 ERA with 30 K's over his last 22 plus innings of work. The Bombers offense has been stalled in this series and Boston's last four games have gone under the posted number. Let's do the limbo and go low once again.
